Moderate Dems and R's need to put bthe Teams and Shit behind them and start working together on real solid non-partisan solutions. Strengthen SS, Medicare, real and affordable health care. Cheap gas. Stop trying to please Wall Street and start taking care of Main Street. And, yes, the Border. These are the real issues working class Americans want addressed. There are squishy normies that don’t care until election time and there is a dedicated population that are ideological that will not agree with each other on most things. There is no happy medium. Maybe the normies are dumber than the politically obsessed weirdos, but convincing them is the game. When in your life have non-partisan solutions been forthcoming? We’re all sitting in the dugout. We don’t even have a Tip from what I can see. The Dems came out and fought their asses off tonight. Probably lost a close decision. But there is nothing to suggest Biden is going to now start reaching across the aisle. If anything he will feel emboldened. We’re stuck in gridlock for the time being. Maji
GOP probably takes the lead in Nevada here soon, but the remaining mail ballots in Clark might erase that
robe
Well this is what we learned from the election. 1. Republicans moved in mass to Florida during the pandemic. 2. we are a divided country I fully expected a red wave when the results of Florida came pouring in. The Masters 5k road race All American. robe
There didn’t appear to be a big discrepancy between the polls and the actual voting. Republicans didn’t out perform the polls by 4 to 5%. Fetterman won with a comfortable margin a surprise and Schumer was wrong about Georgia. Warnock didn’t go down. The Masters 5k road race All American. I would take gridlock forever. It appears that the Democrats have the upper hand on the senate. We have to win Nevada and the run off. Not even sure what the projection on the house is now. I grew up in san diego, in a military family, and served. My wife grew up in rural Ohio. We have pretty much voted straight R until 2020 when we voted to get rid of Trump. We both voted straight D this election, and ideologically we have little in common with them. If the republican party can't get us to vote for them, especially with the Dims screwing the pooch with the economy, the Trumplicans have a platform/messaging problem. The Republicans will win the house but by a small margin. Nevada is a weird state and it is very pissed off. I’d put Laxalt’s odds at 45% right now but he is in it. McCarthy’s head needs to fall. These close margins in the chambers should make our politicians to take a hint but we’re governed by idiots. We’re all sitting in the dugout. Thinking we should pitch.
