The legendary voice himself is finally retiring.

While it is amazing they can recreate his voice through technology, it can't replace the man who gave the performance. Subtle inflections, etc. 

What a career for James Earl Jones though. His impact is far beyond Star Wars.

Played the general in charge of the Looking Glass aircraft in the HBO movie “By Dawn’s Early Light”.  Which is a very underrated movie, imo.

Oh, I know. The man has had a legendary career in both live action and voice acting (Mufasa, Goliath, Darth Vader, etc).

He had some range.  Great comedy stuff, and of course the dramatic acting.  He has that great smile/silent laugh.

I would have to say my favorite performance of his was in Field of Dreams.  Great character.
