This marks UNLV’s first visit to Logan since 2018

USU leads the all-time series 18-7 and has won six straight over the Rebels -- In Logan, USU leads the series 9-3

USU has won 15 of the last 18 games played in the series

The first game played in the series was on Sept. 25, 1971, in Logan, with USU winning 27-7

The Rebels and Aggies have played some of the closest contests in UNLV history as 12 of the 25 games were decided by a touchdown or less, including three by just one or two points

USU won the last meeting between the two teams, 28-24, on Oct. 16, 2021, in Las Vegas

Utah State and UNLV have spent 23 years as league foes as both schools were members of the Big West Conference from 1983-1995 and have been members of the Mountain West since 2013. As Big West members, USU went 8-5 against the Rebels with a 4-2 home record and a 4-3 road mark. In the MW, USU is 5-0 against UNLV with a 2-0 home record and a 3-0 road record

The last time UNLV won a game in the series was on Aug. 30, 2008, in Las Vegas, by a final score of 27-17, while its last win in Logan was on Aug. 30, 2007, by a final score of 23-16

UNLV will be looking to earn a third win in its first four games of a season for only the third time since the start of the Mountain West in 1999 (2003 and 2008)

The Rebels, who are 13-27 all-time in conference openers, look to win their MW opener for the first time since 2017

UNLV’s win over North Texas gave it back-to-back home victories in the same season for the first time since taking its first two at Sam Boyd Stadium in 2018

By scoring 52 vs. Idaho State and 58 on Saturday, the Rebels reached the 50-point mark in back-to-back home games for the first time since 1974 (51 vs. Santa Clara and 63 vs. Prairie View A&M)

Utah State has averaged 512.5 yards of offense (331.3 passing, 181.2 rushing) during its six-game winning streak against UNLV

The Rebels rank third in the MW in red-zone defense (75%) and are even stingier in allowing red zone TDs (just 5 in 12 trips)

There has only been one shut out in series history, a 42-0 Utah State road win in 1995

UNLV has posted a league-leading 10 sacks in three games after totalling 22 all of last season

Utah State is 171-189-8 (.476) all-time against current members of the Mountain West

In 24 games in series history, Utah State has scored 219 more points than UNLV, 682-463

UNLV PK Daniel Gutierrez 2017-SA is tied for 5th in UNLV history with 38 FG's & needs one more to tie Nolan Kohorst (2010-13) & two more to tie Dillion Pieffer (2000-03) in 3rd place

Way to early bowl projection.

UNLV vs Rice in the New Mexico bowl. I would think if UNLV by some miracle of miracles gets 8 wins or more, Kimmel is going to put UNLV in the LA Bowl.

Im just wanting to win, this game. Enjoying every game and the season.  Not 1 thought about bowl scenarios. Hoping to see good football after the decades long drought.

Taking it week by week is the way to go -- This is a construction project that just needs progress

I’m really looking forward to this game. This is the next challenge, conference opener on the road against current MWC Champ. I’m not believing in the UNLV being favored thing.

wait wut, we're favored?  lol.

Go REBS!

This is hard pick. Just basing it on what we have seen this year UNLV by 17. But  I think USU finally rebounds and plays well. It’s in Logan so USU in a close one. A missed FG by UNLV at the end of regulation.

Rebels at this point are favored in every game except ND, Fresno and AFA. Even favored over SDSU @ SDSU..

Crazy times eh?

This game is huge. You could be looking at 4 losses with the schedule left. ND, AF and Fresno are L. SDSU is a tossup.

Yeah and had we not lost at Cal we could have been eligible for a NY6 game also.
