thelawlorfaithful
27 games left. Maris has held the American League record for 61 years. We’re all sitting in the dugout. Thinking we should pitch. How you gonna throw a shutout when all you do is bitch.
Jersey Rebels
He'll get there, and if Stanton had been healthy for the season and the Yankees haven't been just god-awful the last two months, he might have even had a chance at 70 (not 73, though). He is a damn stud. I remember watching him in the Regionals at Jackie Robinson (best baseball venue I’ve ever been) against Irvine. He was impressive then, but I can’t say I thought he was the next McGwire. I didn’t see that coming.

soupslam1
If he gets to 62 I consider him the single season home run champ of all time. Everyone that has hit more than that was juiced.

No need to denigrate Bonds, Mac or Sosa any further. They lied, but they didn’t break the rules. That’s baseball’s fault. That asterisk probably took years off Maris’ life. What Judge is doing is amazing in itself without tearing anyone else down. We’re all sitting in the dugout. Thinking we should pitch. How you gonna throw a shutout when all you do is bitch.
