Espionage. Another fitting word associated with the Twice Impeached Orange Shitstain’s reign of error.  Now, if we can only add “convicted” to that -  once and for all - then the circle of Donny Boy’s profoundly Corrupt life/existence would finally be complete…

Truly one of the great cinematic productions in history…lol

one of my fav flicks actually…lol

Yea I never got there. Have a bunch of friends who think it's great, but I just thought it was dumb. Personal taste.

Planning is an exercise of power, and in a modern state much real power is suffused with boredom. The agents of planning are usually boring; the planning process is boring; the implementation of plans is always boring. In a democracy boredom works for bureaucracies and corporations as smell works for skunk. It keeps danger away. Power does not have to be exercised behind the scenes. It can be open. The audience is asleep. The modern world is forged amidst our inattention.

Again, in summation

HMHB: This better have been a national security issue.  Anything short of that threshold and this would be a huge blunder.

MWCboard: throws tantrum at HMHB

Sources involved to the NYT:  The only reason this was done was because it was an issue of national security

HMHB: Laughs and points finger at MWCboard.

Your problem was giving Trump the benefit of the doubt by assuming it was an overreach.  You obviously have not been paying attention for the last 7 years.  You gave the benefit of the doubt to a proven liar rather than assuming that meek Garland didn't have a very valid reason and didn't try other means to obtain those documents.

Fair answer to a question except that’s not really the question I was trying to ask.  I know your political team.

I was trying to ask how you got to your post-Truth world view?  The “it’s us vs. the elites” one.  The view that right wing populists who spout sound bites against D.C. are the true and the good.

That’s all far too a simplistic and unrealistic view of our social and political world.  It’s like an old spy movie.  There’s no cabal of elites bent on world domination.

There are more than two sides to many things, and where it really is just two sides — neither one is always the true and the good.  None of us are always right and good.  Just think.

In short because I have spent too much time here today....

Aparently you never figured out that today's news is designed for the consumer...it's 90% commment and speculatrion and 10% news. We all fall in the trap of consuming what we like, comment is no different...definitely not hard news, we don't know the diff anymore.

I am not out of the mainstream or live in a post truth reality.  Check out some polls or research on public trust in the media... throwing out the 2 teams, only about a third of Indies buy it.

Example....FBI says hunters laptop is fake news....over 50 govt talking heads and 90% of media backs it up.   The WSJ says much later...it exists ...and it does  I heard no retractrions from anyone.

It's crap.

That never happened.  I said it HAD to have been related to national security or it would be a huge blunder.  Others disagreed.  National security was the only bar that made any sense from the beginning.

Let’s expand the wishful thinking that Trump serves prison time…

But can you imagine how many attempts his militia/mob will try to break him out of prison?

Warning to Trump White House staff and interns. They are already looking for a fall guy.

Not knowing what’s in them, yet possessing them for his many months?  And after being asked how many times to return them?  Sounds like a great defense. One that Giuliani might employ…

Build Mar-a-Trumpo Prison - just for him. Right next door to Leavenworth. As long as he’s locked up I could care less otherwise. But, yes, jailbreak would be a common theme amongst his idiot cult followers. From Day 1 of his incarceration…

Well, I think they have him "dead to rights", especially on the concealment.  He is a proven liar so I am sure he lied about it.

Of course, I thought when I heard him soliciting a bribe from Ukraine and trying to defraud Georgia voters it was obvious too...but what do I know???

Yeah, and it turns out they did.  So no need for heads to roll.  If they did not, and Garland was not involved, yikes!!!! That would indeed have been a level of incompetency that should require immediate head rolling.

And no, you clearly did not have any idea what the Presidential Records Act actually was, or you would not have questioned whether or not EVERY SINGLE president has violated it.

I knew what it was but I agree your understanding of the detail exceeded mine which is one reason we all post here and become more knowledgeable.
