Akkula
Voting no on allowing legislature to ban abortions. Turnout is high and no votes are far outstripping how Biden did. Lots of Republicans are voting against and lots of Democrats turning out.
smltwnrckr
Still early. But crossing fingers. Kansas is historically a pro-bodily-autonomy state, from its Jayhawker days to its being a huge pro choice enclave pre-roe. My grandma was a nurse who got her degree at Kansas. Rock chalk. smltwnrckr
Also, if it's even close its a win for women's right maintaining political relavence despite the anti-women political inertia. The anti abortion activists and state GOP put it on a closed primary to suppress Democrat vote. And they've been basically running a dishonest campaign to try and confuse voters. Weird... a movement that claims to be based on a moral truth having to use dishonesty and underhanded approaches to gain power. Maybe God isn't on your side? 5

smltwnrckr
Rock Chalk!!!!! Wow. I'm shocked it wasn't even close. Women must be pissed about being told they're not people. Key point here... this vote was to keep a right to choice a CONSTITUTIONAL right. People don't want legislatures deciding what happens in their bodies. Today is a good day for America.

Remains to be seen but the SCOTUS move could come into play on a lot of states in November .........and it could become even more to the forefront if gas prices, housing & other economic indicators settle down over the next 90 days. This being GOP dominated Kansas is rather stunning

They know deep down people don't want their dystopian bullshit. That's why they put it on the primary ballot. It's why they worded it in a confusing way, and why they refused to state their intentions to ban abortion until after they lost, and why they lied to voters in the final days. In Kansas. +++++ing Kansas. Anti abortion activists know that people don't want their rules. Which is why they always... ALWAYS ... use underhanded tactics, lies and undemocratic, strong arm tactics to get the monstrous outcomes that they want. 4
