Why is the Idaho State game listed twice?  We lost to them Norvell’s first year but that’s our only FCS loss, ever.

Point spread is a terrible metric because the point spread will be lower if the favored team is actually garbage.   Here are some of the actual worst college football  losses from the MWC over the last 10 Years. You be the judge as to the common factor :

1) South Dakota State 42 @ Colorado State 23

2) Illinois State 35 @ Colorado State 19

3) North Dakota State 22 @ Colorado State 7

Was that the fight game?

Interesting fact, FIU won the last game in the Orange Bowl before it was torn down.  Miami and FIU shared it the last year.

was talking about the 2019 edition...which was a bigger abortion than the fight game...was played at the Marlins Stadium...which is built on top of the old OB....lol

I hate to point this out to you, young whippersnapper, but the Pack lost to Weber State in 1992 and 1993, Nevada’s first two seasons after moving up from 1AA, so one could argue that Nevada’s roster was closer to 1AA than 1A. Still, they were home losses to lower division teams. The 1994 squad was shellacked in Boise by a 1AA Boise State squad that moved up to 1A two seasons later. Anyway, your ignorance is glaring. Fix that.

From what I can tell, San Diego State football has only lost one FCS game in the last 10 years. Not sure after that, but the 2006 and 2008 losses to CAL Poly San Luis Obispo were a long time ago but still very embarrassing.

You should also point out that the NCAA wouldn’t let teams over-recruit to get from 63 to 85 scholarships, so it took 3-4 years.

I’d also argue the big sky was better than the big west from top to bottom. Pacific sucked. Cal State Fullerton sucked. LBSU?!! Sucked. And were gone quickly. Vegas, USU, NMSU, SJSU? All sucked.

Well, SJSU was decent for a couple years before they went into the toilet, but I don’t disagree with your overall point.

Hmmm....no losses to FCS or lower tier teams in the last 10 years for USU. That feels good to say considering where this program was just 15 years ago. Looking back at the schedule/results over the past decade it is hard to even identify even a single "embarrassing" loss. I suppose one could argue that the Aggies' most embarrassing losses have come in a couple of bowl games.

  1. 21-23 loss to Akron in 2015 Potato Bowl
  2. 20-26 OT loss to NMSU in 2017 Arizona Bowl

The problem is that these were against bowl eligible teams, despite their brand name, and they were also closely fought contests against 6-6 Aggie teams both times.

I honestly think the most embarrassing loss in the last 10 years was last year's loss to Wyoming. The game was not close and came against a title team at home. It served as a wake up call, but it was pretty damn embarrassing to sit through.

Wyoming vs New Mexico the past two years... Although there have been plenty of close calls.

Those aren't even the most embarrassing losses to New Mexico in the last 10 years.

2016: New Mexico 56 - Wyoming 35

A really bad New Mexico team rushed the ball for 568 yards.

You missed a couple, but yeah, your point is valid.

I unfortunately remember a certain 'tater bowl.
