to recap, Boise commits so far (and rankings per 247 as of 6/23)

Jambres Dubar (6’, 190) #43 RB in country (10.6 100m)

CJ Tiller (6’-2, 190) #44 QB

Wyatt Milkovic (6-2, 225) #83 LB

Jason Steele (6’-4, 270) #81 IOL

Franklyn Johnson (6’, 190) UNR Ath (10.6 with 40” vert)

Jackson Grier (5’-11, 190) UNR WR (father is Miami Dolphins GM)

Pretty meh on this one.  Needs a whole lot of time in the weight room., not buying he is 260 with how skinny his arms and legs look.  Good frame, though.

Yah I’m guessing 225 but his height seems legit. Looks like he can bench 330 and clean 350 - and only a junior in high school. Should be easy to add some bulk.

I've been around many 6'6" guys and you'd have to see him in skivvies to say he's skinny.   That frame could hide 260 with most of it being baby fat.  He's going to lose weight when he first gets here but 300 is in his near future.

That would be nice. Can someone tell Leon Rice about Owyhee HS, too? There’s a 6’-7” basketball guard and only soon-to-be-sophomore there last name Rasmussen as well. Already getting P12 offers. Not to mention the handful of other D1 prospects from Owyhee.

This kid looks a legit 270-300 already as well.

Leon has offered 2024 SG Liam Campbell out of Owyhee.   He's not a moron.   And he knows every kid on that roster and maybe he's not convinced he's good enough long term or maybe he's learned the kid aint staying in Idaho for college.

CSU commit Jack Payne didn’t receive an offer. Jackson Rasmussen has an offer from WSU but apparently not Boise yet.

In my opinion local kids like these are what Leon needs most (okay 2nd-most behind winning a tourney game) in order to boost local support and make SW Idaho feel more connected to the team.

Nice get with Dawson. He blew up recently and sdsu was super late on him. His HS is up and coming w/ talent, including a 2026 national guy (yes, 2026) and a couple other P5 caliber kids.
