I prefaced the numbers comment with type of candidate.  We are talking minorities, and long term the Trump style won't work.  Heck, it didn't work in 2020 and won't in 2024.  But the party is stuck right now.  Trump will be the candidate again.  Midterms won't be a surprise.  We knew a year ago the House was going Republican and Senate would be close.

Trump got more of the  non white vote, (especially Hispanics) in 2020 than any other recent GOP presidential candidate .   It was still a small overall portion, but the numbers were trending towards the GOP. 

The reason Trump lost was because he lost ground with white women voters.

Also more voters voted in general, which boosts raw numbers in all categories.

Going to be interesting for "working class voters" if the GOP goes after Social Security & Medicare - They will have just voted to screw themselves, but that is a GOP strong point

Those who vote because they are "victims" are not going to blame themselves when they are victimized.  It will always be someone else's fault.

Labradoodle wins or that is a crazy sign.  The lady voted after work.  She heard a poll worker say 19% turnout around 5pm.  Central Meridian.  After work crowd just beginning.
