At the halfway point of the OOC…

I will have to happily eat some humble pie here too. I was not convinced that Keshon had elevated his offensive game to the point where he can lead UNLV in scoring and UNLV also be good.

Wrong on that one! In fairness to me it is an offense by committee, which I did anticipate, but Keshon has been efficient AF within that.

Happy to see that not only has Keshon become the heart and soul of this years team, but that he has also added a leadership component while keeping his toughness and defense tip-top!

Only 3 undefeateds left.

UNLV

unm

usu

But unm has only played 3 games. suds dropped two to zona and the razorbacks. Not unbeatable, but still the cream of the m worst crop until proven otherwise.

If UNLV is still undefeated after San Diego and USF, I predict a #22 ranking.

Ranked? With this terrible schedule? Yes. Wins are all that matter.

Keshon could be the next Anthony Marshall.

Nobody thought he'd be this improved; incredibly rare that a player with so little offensive game last year shows up as polished as he looks this year. Obviously he put in a lot of hard work and it's paying off.

A lowly 3-star high school player?  Are you sure about that?

Patrick McCaw?

No I’m not buying into the usual predictions from the usual place. At least he isn’t calling for the players to be fired.

KG is still an unknown but he is a consummate team player which is why when he was given his role last year as a defensive specialist he just quietly went about doing it. He’s been given a different role this year and has done the work to prepare for that role. The future?

I like the comparison to Patty Mac.  Ph is a good sport, so i'm sure he knows i'm just busting his balls.  But one of his crazy predictions may actually happen in this case.  Along with most, i'm shocked and impressed by KG's improvement since last year.  He obviously put in the work in the off-season to expand his offensive game, so the team is reaping the benefits.  If he stays on the same trajectory, his hard work may just earn him a shot at his goal of eventually getting drafted.

Pat Beverly is the right comparison.
