What’s your point?

He wants everybody to talk about the stability of the program rather than how wrong he and ph were about Junior being able to field a decent looking team next season.

Who cares about stability?! UNLV has been chaotically unstable through coaching changes and mass transfer exoduses for years and now college basketball is completely chaotic with how the transfer portal works now.

UNLV didn't adapt to current environment of college basketball, it adapted to UNLV.

It's finally falling into place now.  Chaos will be  the ladder of our acension back to another NATTY.

It's glorious.

Well of course he did, lol.

So Marv returned 7 for a 17 win season. Good job!

Come on, this is about a well run successful program and the idiots rebuttal is “ok yeah well Marv returned 7 and failed”. Good job!

He's going to Washington State.  If Kevin Kruger truly wanted him, he could've beaten them out.  Gonzaga won't even play a home-and-home with him.  Only a two-for-one in Gonzaga's favor.

They need to go after Mouhamed Gueye.

Well constructed roster has all of the parts needed to field a respectable squad. At what level is the question, but looks decent so far.

The only reason we lost to Washington State is because Kevin Kruger didn’t want him.

Which I am fine with.  Kevin Kruger should pick the players and build the team that he wants.  He will have glory or will die with those decisions.

We have to trust that he knows what he is doing.  I am very confident that he is going to fix this and return us to our rightful spot at the top.

We will become a powerhouse once again!

Sorry, but passing on him for Morris Udeze is a JOKE!

The “stability of the program” angle was pure propaganda on UNLV/Grimala’s part because they don’t want anyone to focus on the last two games of the season where they completely blew it, mailed it in. Predictably the usual suspects fell for it.

Those losses have me irate, I’d be throwing the water cooler around in the locker room if I was a coach then making the players run back out to Crusty Pies arena (whatever they call New Mexico’s arena) and run suicides until they pass out.

In terms of fielding a team, it took Kruger awhile to land guys. I’m assuming the departures of his staff had something to do with that. So far so good in terms of players being brought in, most of not all have an edge/attitude about them.

Which is good, I’m tired of this soft basketball bullshit I’ve been watching over the last few years.

Agreed!  (for the most part)  Not sure I agree with the intentional propaganda part.  I believe Grimala was just flat out wrong, and didnt mean to deflect.  The rest of your post, though, is spot on, imo.  Cheers.

You have to recruit toughness. Give me slightly lower rated, smaller, less skilled guy who's tough, strong and durable over 5star soft hurt quits leaves.

Not sure how much I bemoaned the highly rated, soft players CDR recruited. All his guys were constantly hurt.

UNLV needs a coach/team that sticks around five, six, seven years. We need administration and fans to stick behind both for the duration.

It's way late, but it sort of seems to be sinking in for some of these parties lately.

I hope.

Time for our new assistants to show what they are made of!  Get some studs!

Oh no, not our 26% 3pt shooting specialist off the bench.

Seems like Williams is coming back. He got more NBA scout attention than Bryce did this year for his measurables/athleticism but if he wants a shot at some guaranteed major dough he needs to have a big statistical season.

Dream scenario now is:

Donovan Williams Returns

Frankie Collins

Morris Udeze

Sweet 16 and back in the game!

Donovans gotten some interest from MIA OKC CHI. Bryce LAC LAL OKC SAC. Both for farms UDFA. Donovan increased his stock this season at UNLV, but thats pretty much where Bryce was at last year.

Difference being Donovan actually has NBA-level length, bounce, and overall athleticism. I could see a team taking a 2nd Round flyer on him.
