We'll be in Belize in 4 days.  8 days of snorkeling and drinking Belikins on the beach.

Just got back a week ago from Belize. Spent time in San Pedro, placencia, and San Ignacio. Have fun!

Making our third trip to Maui in July. I'm super excited.

First flight in my life I've ever done first class because I've got the miles to upgrade. I'm an aviation nerd too and our flight is on the Delta  Airbus A321 NEO from Seattle. That plane is supposed to have an outstanding first class experience .

Don't do it... Ignorance is bliss.

Accidentally got upgraded to first classs 5 years ago from Tokyo to Bangkok and now that's all I can fly. Did a 4 hour trip back and fort a couple weeks ago on southwest and it's torture to me now.

I know it’s really hot and many places shut down for the month, but we’re going to Italy and Sicily in mid-August.  Still, really looking forward to it (although my decision to potentially drive in Sicily is being met with a lot of skepticism - uh, even from myself)…

I have a shit load of miles on Asiana flying back and forth between Asia and the US and I now usually get an upgrade to business and the food alone makes it worth it. Their economy is really good especially if you can get upstairs on the A380 but the food makes it for me. After eating that it's sad getting on SW or American and getting a bag of stale pretzels for your 3 1/2 hour flight from LA to Chicago or Houston.

I'm a bit worried though as I'm a Star Alliance guy and Asiana is going to merge with Korean Air so I may have to start over, good news is between EVA and ANA I know I'm in good hands.

Sicily is going to be one I do soon, my grandmother is from a small town called Furnari which is a little nothing town along the coast between Messina and Palermo. The beaches look nice though and from what I could gather it's a place very much lacking any Americans. My grandfather is from Reggio Calabria so I plan on hammering both out in the same trip.

We wanted to go to Genoa last year when we went to Nice and Monte Carlo but Italy had different entry restrictions than France because of Covid and we didn't meet them.

I've been to Spain twice and I want to go back .. I've done both Madrid and Barcelona but I really want to go to Seville. I've been told avoid the summer, the heat is almost unbearable. San Sebastian also something I need to see but unfortunately on the total opposite part of the country.

Furnari isn't too far from two comuni that I plan to visit, if only briefly.  My maternal grandfather was born in Santa Lucia del Mela, as was his mother.  His father (my great-grandfather) was born in Saponara - about a 27.5.k drive between the two towns (to the east).  Lots of those Sicilian ancestors lived, were married and died in both of those towns.  Furnari is located to the west of Santa Lucia del Mela, but is a little closer (only about 17.5k) than it is to Saponara.  I'm into genealogy, so am trying to plan a brief visit (maybe half a day - here and there) to each town/hamlet for "recon" purposes there...

We're otherwise going to spend some time at a place in central Sicily.  I know, I know - is away from the varied interesting architecture, beautiful coast... and those tempting beaches... but is a very nice agriturismo, so we'll undoubtedly learn a lot about Italian (Sicilian) farming and culture there.  We'll also do a cooking class, wine tasting, etc.  Also, we'll stay a couple of nights on the eastern coast, near Catania, with planned visits to Taormina and Etna, etc., along the way...

The week prior we're staying in the Lucca area where my wife's paternal lines hail from (she's 3/4 Italian, whereas I'm only 1/4).  I've been there once before (2015), but am looking forward to revisiting that very cool city and also doing some day-tripping from there (San Gimignano, Chianti region, beaches north of Pisa, etc.)...

We were in northern Spain last November and it was amazing. Rented a car in Barcelona and drove through Rioja region staying in Lagroño and San Sebastian (where I ate the best food of my life).

Unfortunately for me, gotta take break from traveling this summer. Went on 4 different trips to 7 different countries in the last 7 months and now I'm super poor. We are planning a small trip to nova Scotia and Quebec city in October though.

I'm really looking forward to the AB a321 Neo on Delta. It's supposed to be a good first class cabin for a single aisle plane

That's sounds like an oxymoron to me, heh. I'll have to check it out.

I still have a bucket list item to fly in Singapore airlines' first class suite in an A380. However they got rid of the jfk to Frankfurt flight, so it'll be more difficult to find. It's ridiculously expensive to pay outright, but with chase credit card points and transfer options, it's possible at a fraction of the price.

My grandfather was from Reggio de Calabria so pretty close, I found an old letter his niece wrote to him so I have an address too. From what it looks like really close to the beach so I'm debating taking the trip. Have to wait till the summer's over though because flights are ridiculously expensive right now.

I think I'm gonna try going way off the beaten path, I've been looking into Cabo Verde which are some cool little African islands. Settled by the Portuguese so you can get there from Lisbon but getting between islands doesn't appear to be super difficult but I think you have to fly. Boa Vista and Sal seem like prime places to disappear

Me and the wife are headed to LA in two weeks for Disney Land, California Adventure, and Universal Studios. It will be our first Disney Land trip in almost 30 years without kids.

Just got back from my Carolina trip, but spent a couple days up in Hampton Roads area of Virginia.  Never knew they had a Monitor and Merrimack museum, and geeked out there, plus there were all sorts of nautical/mariner exhibits there as well.  Toured the College of William and Mary and the Colonial area (with actors and reenactments of the period) in Williamsburg, and checked out USS Wisconsin.  I honestly never gave the area much thought besides the Naval presence, but that collection of towns and the military history (Jamestown, Yorktown, Ft. Monroe, Monitor vs Merrimack, etc) as well as a vibrant couple of towns for food and nightlife leaves this as a oft-forgotten little gem.  Would definitely recommend for history and military seekers.
