Or Oprah. I'd take Oprah over the typical leftist who typically has a healthy contempt for the Constitution. There is a slim chance Oprah would be pro capitalism.

Did not realize the constitution spelled out an economic system.  Care to point out those passages for me?

He assigns amplified, minority trash from some idiots on the right to the entire population of millions that doesn't agree with him.

He imagines the entire voting group is 100% monolithic but only in his warped outlook.

you mean like many who call Democrats "socialists" or "communists"?

I could point out what Tim Scott, Clarence Thomas, get called on a daily basis. Even on ABCs "the view" just this morning. But I just chalk it up to idiots, with idiotic talking points.

I had dinner with 10 people yesterday. Two of us vote Republican. I would never, ever say anything resembling his words to my friends in that group who have extensive views on why they vote democrat, and they fully understand why I vote Republican. He can't process that kind of scenario in his head so he just labels anyone to the right of his viewpoint as a "fascist, racist, evangelical boot licker". My words, not his, as he has done the opposite to me.

I get it.  But as foolish as that was it is equally foolish to deny that Trump hasn’t encouraged and emboldened those kinds of morons.  Whereas they used to be evenly distributed Trump with his xenophobic messages has managed to consolidate them all in one party.

The Left treats the SCOTUS as a legislative branch anymore. Maybe conservatives should too

There's a good sized group of people on the left who openly assign themselves to policy that they, themselves call socialist. DSA, for example. Bernie, AOC, Corie Bush, Tlaib...

Where did @Bob suggest it did?

I saw where he said Oprah might be pro-capitalism.  Is there another post I missed?

Well at what point does being pro <insert favorite economic model> matter for someone whose job is to interpret laws and the constitution?

I would hope they are all pro-capitalism.

What does your post have to do with accusing @Bob of saying the Constitution outlines an economic system?

Me too.  Just watching him take tough questions and have to speak without a teleprompter in front of him would be comedy gold.

Obama would not accept.  He's too much of a coward to face the level of scrutiny he would surely be confronted with.

Yeah **** that guy. Too scared of scrutiny. I bet he’d run away with his tail tucked between his legs if I proposed that he run for president and be forced to weather innumerable racist attacks throughout the campaign. We need a real alpha to nominate.

Could you highlight a few of those "numerous racist attacks?"

Hawley's out to get the QAnon vote but McConnell is going to pressure other senators to ignore the little shit.

If this nomination becomes little more than a pro forma exercise, Moscow Mitch will be able to comfortably shout from the podium about how reasonable Repubs were in comparison to their obstructionist counterparts on the other side of the aisle knowing that another librul isn't going to impact SCOTUS in the slightest. That is, at least until he's six feet under so somebody else will have to worry about it.

Exactly - McConnel could shift blame for his planned inaction to the Q Cult & trump cult within his caucus ..........blame them, McConnell wants to stall this one out too

Again curious were an economic system is mentioned in the constitution.   Quit dodging the question and quote a specific passage.

It isn't and that wasn't my point, even though the principles of capitalism are throughout the Constitution. My point is that liberal justices seem to be motivated by causes other than interpreting the Constitution.
