Actually, he was speaking of making the same, baseless, allegations like the left did.

Brandon is a former molester himself.  He's probably too old to mess around with that shit anymore.  He just sniffs hair instead.

So you’re calling Blasey Ford and Anita Hill liars.

What?  I was speaking of the nomination process where he'd have to take questions from senators.

He’s not like your hero, trump, who literally can’t say three words without hanging himself.  Obama is actually a brilliant public speaker who would make mincemeat of Ted Cruz.

An Obama nomination (either one) would be glorious for just that one thing. :rotflmfao:

But does he brag about grabbing them by the p on video?  That's the real test.

Well you only hope of slowing it down is Manchin.  If he blocks a progressive judge he might as well switch parties at that point.  It’s possible however as he is pro life.

You'll get at least 3-5 Republicans on the first nominee. Manchin isn't an issue.

I'll believe it when i see it.

Elections have consequences. Why would the Republicans drag this out to the midterms?

Replace the old liberal with a black woman and move on to the November bloodbath.

Why let the media go after them 24/7 for any extended period of time?

It'd be stupid not to confirm her almost immediately.

Yeah this one will not be the shitshow that it was in the Trump years. The balance of the court will remain unchanged.

I suspect republicans like Romney, Collins, and Murkowski will vote to confirm, unless the nominee is bat shit crazy insane.

Prepare to watch it dragged out.  Republicans don't believe in consequences.  They don't even believe Biden won.  Strictly from an election strategy,  their base wants to see them fight no matter if it's a liberal replacing a liberal.  I don't think it will be as easy as you think.

I imagine they will strongly consider Kruger as well, since she would likely garner more support from Republicans. Childs will probably get a look as well because Clyburn is backing her.

So, how does this work when the seat isn’t vacant because someone died? Do they have to wait until the Justice officially retires before the process starts?

No idea but it looks like June/July retirement.

I hope it's wrapped up by early September at the latest. Hopefully August.

No.  Beyer said he will step down at the end of the term and when a replacement is confirmed.  They could name a nominee today if they have one in mind.

In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Even if that were the case, which it's not, they already have their scapegoats lined up to bash for a week and then memory hole it.

It's really not a big issue that some will make it out to be.

That's rich considering not a single person has been held accountable for getting 13 Americans killed in Afghanistan. That's only one example. Heads should have rolled for that. Not a single resignation, even.

And heads should have rolled for many things that occurred in Afghanistan over those 20 years.

100% agree. But those same people fail upward into the Pentagon and the American public can't do anything about it.
