Scandal Ridden CNN Ratings Down 90% From 2021

Recommended Posts

Holy crapola, the Certified Nobody Network is flying high with bodacious bizaredom. It fires Chris Cuomo for using his position to unethically defend his brother, but then brings back Jeffery Tube’n for fluffing his junk on a Zoom call with fellow New Yorker colleagues having to witness the nauseating equivalent of D-List content on PornHub. As one fine person brilliantly put it:

“In the context of a flailing media ecosystem where most writers would sacrifice their firstborn for a New Yorker byline, the Tube’sters inability to maintain self-control on a work call is ultimately a reflection of both his lack of respect for his coworkers and his position of extreme privilege.”

Tube’n is a reporter and fluffer for the New Yorker and a Legal Analyst on CNN. Nevermind his history of aggressive womanizing, affairs and sexual harassment at work, apparently Tube’n has pics of CNN Prez Zucker giving Cocaine to Bob Saget for a BJ, or something like that to get his privileged talking head job back.

Then you have the list of claims against host Don Lemon for sexual harassment amongst other things including being just dumb, then 2 former CNN producers, one from Cuomo’s show, engaging in such disgusting acts as luring mothers in to bring their kids in for sex. Then Elon Musk makes a statement that he’s not perverted enough to do an interview on CNN, and you know your network has problems.

“Each of the cable news networks saw substantial losses from the year-ago week, one which featured wall-to-wall coverage of the Wednesday, Jan. 6 insurrection on the U.S. Capitol. CNN and MSNBC put up especially huge numbers that week. In fact, CNN was the most-watched network on all of cable that week. And then as one might expect, CNN ended up seeing the steepest year-over-year losses…”

…from an easy to find source.

Don’t interpret as caring unless Erin Burnett is still on and wearing a print dress. We all have our things.

Agreed. Slanted cable news channels are for old people nobody watches that shit anymore. Do people even watch cable tv anymore? I have DirecTV but haven’t watched anything through it except sports in years. It’s all apps now

Cable News and Facebook are the worst thing to happen to our country. All they do is encourage tribalism and incivility.

The prime time viewership of the three main cable news channels combined isn’t that all that huge.  It’s just a key part of the echo chamber ecosystems.

It’s pretty easy to get good value if you know what and how to watch.  CNN had this great special with Carole King and James Taylor a couple weeks back.  Avoid the prime time editorial shows unless in a mood just to see what’s going on there. I flipped channels a couple nights back, and I swear to God it wasn’t an SNL spoof, but Laura Ingraham had Dinesh D’Souza on panel talking voting rights.  I kept flipping.  I’ll listen to serious folks on any channel, but I’m not wasting my time on an Al “not”Sharpton or a Dinesh Doofus.

I love FB.  I do zero political stuff.  I snooze or unfollow friends who feel the need to continually share their politics or Covidiotness. I did have to block one old friend who kept sending anti-vax messages.

Maybe because I’m still new there (less than two years), but I love connecting with family, friends, former students, and ex-colleagues.  Yesterday, a former student celebrated an anniversary.  Her story is remarkable from where she came from and what she went through to the lovely family she has today. It’s kind of a magical thing to be able to connect with someone like that who lives elsewhere.  Politics on FB is mostly a drain.

Yeah I like Facebook to see how people are that I’d normally lose touch with. I don’t do any political crap either nobody really wants to see it.

Wierd.... Their ratings from the first week of the year are down from last year? Was there something newsworthy and breaking that made everyone watch the news during the first week of last year?

Hmmm.

LOL.  That's a Tucker intro if i ever saw one.  Ratings down compared to the only time in our lifetime where the losing side tried to storm the Capitol while chanting hang the VP in the hopes that somehow, someway, the states would get another crack at picking Trump.  Awesome thread title.

The only cable news outlet that has a cult following is Fox, the newsmax & Oann which all are adjuncts & affiliates of the larger Cult45

I would disagree with that, I think MSNBC has quite a cult following

Since the NY Post is apparently considered a good news source, I hope the same crowd relishing in the Post bashing CNN also paid attention to this Post article yesterday:

"As if contracting COVID wasn’t bad enough, a dismayed man now claims that he’s lost a whopping 1.5 inches from the length of his penis as a lingering result of the vile virus."
