And we are back around to where you fall short: Words and actions are required for sedition.  So no, spewing hatred for the government alone won't send you to prison, Chicken Little.

If you want to find a place where our constitution is being shredded, why not check out what GOP states are doing with elections?

Legal precedent if it succeeds. It’s much easier to prosecute when the standard is one eyed man and his loser friends trespassed than very scary jihadist spent his life railing for the downfall of the government and tried to collapse the North Tower of the wtc.

it's "president"

What a bunch of lowlifes.  Know friend from foe?  Lol.

I can't believe some people still pretend Jan 6th was no big deal on this forum.   For those sitting in or going to prison,  was it really worth it to play toy soldier?

Homeless guy that thinks he’s going to take down the US government. Lol

It must have been a tight squeeze in his sidewalk cardboard box before January 6 for him and "at least three luggage carts' worth of gun boxes, rifle cases, and suitcases filled with ammunition."

i get that you think it's all hilarious, but i don't.

this nyt report is 40 minutes long, and puts the newsreel reporting side by side with the riot participants' videos.  the reporters feather in the chatter between the rioters.  it's fast paced, well produced, and worth a watch

It was anything but hilarious.  People were killed.  Lives were shattered.  And it is all tied to Trump's behavior and rhetoric, both pre and post election.  His grip on the right even now, after everything that happened,  is sad.

Maybe he'd have a home had he not bought all those firearms on credit.

In all seriousness, there are some people asking who bought all of that equipment and why.

The answer could lead to someone else being hit with a seditious conspiracy charge.

Trespassing for many.

An attempt to prevent the Guv from  Certifying the Election Results for many as well. Actually, an attempted coup.

It’s the standard the last time it was successfully prosecuted. Planning for bombings and a murder were acquitted in 1980’s. Puerto Rican Nationalists have been prosecuted for a bunch of bombings before that. Making war with the purpose of overthrowing the government have been a key standard in all the cases in the past 100 years.

This charges in this case and This case bear no resemblance. That doesn’t mean these idiots shouldn’t spend a long time in prison, particularly the guy that tried to pull a cop into the mob (the only assault charge).
