Colorado State is One of Three....

.....Undefeated hoops teams in All the Land.  Rams are co-joined with Baylor and Southern Cal.  Covid junks or not, this is impressive.  Rams are 11 - zip.  Southern Cal is 12 - zip.  Baylor is 13 - zip.

There are like 358 squads playing at the same level in hoops.  Any undefeated one in early January is super.

Hoops Standings

To boot, Rams come in at lofty #9 in CBS Sports online top 19 Power Rankings.  I'm impressed.  my squad is underrated, but whatevs.

Wasn’t SDSU the only undefeated team in the country part way through the season a couple of years ago?

Yes- then UNLV happened. Then Sam Merrill happened.

There are only two things I can't stand in this world: people who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch.

It's always great to be undefeated.  It just depends on how long it lasts.  My squad did it recently for a deep, long haul.  By the time March rolls around I do not think no one has hit The Tournament undefeated.  I could be wrongo about that.  Maybe Gonzaga hit the Tourney with a goose egg in its loss column.  Anywho, as super competitive as college hoops are with its big schedule (two games a week, conventional from early November to CCG tourney the nigh of March Madness), it's something to brag about in early January.  It is.

Go Rams!

I also believe CSU is one of only 2 or 3 teams in the country yet to play a true road game.

Not trying to bag on CSU too much because I believe they are legitimately at least a Top-25 level team, but hard to say how good they actually are if you're in January and still haven't played a road game.

CSU played lofty Creighton on the road.  And Mississippi State.  Very fine St. Mary's was hosted.  The at Alabama game got ditched.  I'm sourcing from CBS Sports and it maybe includes neutral site games.

Real Time RPI has this but they are slow and not the best at right now reality.

That does include neutral site games.  Saturdays game against SDSU will be our first true road game of the season.

Where's Duke, Gonzaga, or No. Carolina or any other top 5 top five traditional teams?  C'mon man. It's too early to tell only 1/3 into the season.

CSU is catching a big break...was supposed to play in Feb in front of a packed house...who knows who will show up now...still have iffy backcourt...Pulliam is back...and maybe Butler...but I'll say again...in order to beat the Aztecs....you have to be hot...hit everything...or the opponent will lose...when holding opponents under 40 percent shooting...SDSU wins over 90 percent of their games...on the flip side...if Aztecs shoots over 40 percent...we're gonna win...and it won't be close...the Aztecs win more games shooting under 40 than any team I know....we'll see....

It SHOULD be a hell of a game, and hopefully lives up to the big boy CBS hype.  I can think of nothing better for the conference.

As far as a packed house...a CSU fan posted ticket availability on Ramblings.  If your AD is putting out a legit availability picture, there ain't but a handful of seats available.  I realize "the show" won't be at full force due to the break, but I doubt that section will be empty.

I have zero delusions that CSU will just tear through this one, and am very concerned about the outcome.  On paper, this is probably our toughest game left on the schedule (FOR NOW).  I can't wait.
