Halloween Wokeness

Recommended Posts

I know of several schools that haven't allowed Halloween for quite some time.  Devil stuff.  Religious schools.

All depends on who's ox is being gored.

In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

My wife's company was like this.  Adventist hospital group.  While there wasn't a policy preventing it, people were discouraged to decorate their cubes, have themed candy or bring their kids in with costumes.  It was kind of weird.....

"I don't see any way in which this actually addresses any inequities to the extent that there are any inequities," Malkin told Rantz on his show Monday. "You know, this just seems like grandstanding on behalf of the principal and the staff who are predominantly White."

that reminds me

Mormons aren't Christian and are going to Hell because their belief in their Jesus is so corrupt and different as to not be the same, authentic, real Jesus of the rest Christianity and as a result, the miraculous mechanism of salvation by grace cannot be produced as their faith is essentially in a false god and not honored by the same, authentic, real Jesus as the rest of Christianity.

It's cool. I'm going to hell too, but it's because of my porn addiction, not religious choice....

My elementary school, a private and Catholic one at that, had a "Halloween Carnival" every year. For the kids, the families, students, etc. With the 6th Grade Class, every year, putting on a Haunted House. So, costumes, games, prizes, snacks, and so on for everyone there.

Us dirty Papists can be pretty progressive sometimes...

I feel bad for the kids these days.

It goes both ways. I remember from a few years ago, at a baptism course we had to take at our local Catholic church, the nun (white) spoke about culture and acceptance of others. The student population at their school is composed of 40% Hispanic students. The past several years, they have started to include Dia De Los Muertos festivities along with Halloween. She was sadden and disappointed by the complaints from white parents who thought it was too scary for young children to celebrate it learn about death, but not Halloween. She rolled her eyes while saying that.

Edit- I forgot to add that I do remember some of the white parents in attendance, mainly the moms, making scuffing/disapproving sounds. They too thought those were stupid complaints.
