Mike Nuga is going to be a HUGE wildcard for UNLV.  He tore his ACL in early January but will be ready for the opener.  He shot 63.6% on two pointers, which was in the top 100 nationally.  He also shot 38.5% from three.

Maybe they can make it to the middle of the pack?  Once Air Force leaves, they are the worst job in the conference.  But they should be able to pass Wyoming eventually.

We did.  Miles is this best coach we’ve had in....forever. He immediately upgraded the roster to where we need to be. On top of that he is just a great guy.  I had the chance to spend some time with him and he is a character.  He’s got all of us in the palm of his hand already.  You can’t help but like the guy.  

I think you guys are going to be happy with SJSU basketball now.  I’m expecting good things.

He would do well wherever he ended up, but he’s exactly what SJSU needs. We desperately needed his kind of experience and personality right now. The timing is perfect as SJSU is finally trying to upgrade the two main revenue sports.  We’ve got two really good personalities now.

Spartan Stadium is seeing renovation, and behind the scenes there are plans in the works to renovate the Event Center.  Enlarge it and ad the amenities it needs to become the basketball facility we need for the MWC.
