Because UNLV2001 "brings it" every week with outstanding stats/factoids/optimism.  And because it only takes 1 good/great game (in a year) to really make you look forward to other games the rest of the year, the next year, etc.

That said, ex-Spartan HC Arroyo looks like he (still) has a lot to learn.  Also, that you guys need to recruit better year to year... to year... before you'll really start to see some results on the field...

Us Spartan fans appreciate and are thankful for what Arroyo did as a player. We were also thankful when he moved on to greener pastures as a coach.

This is 26,604 fans?  #FresnopullingaMiami

Oh goody…, another top ranked opponent. (heavy sigh)

Friel shows promise. Hopefully Arryo allows him to stay in for consecutive downs and stop this crazy switch-a-roo coaching.

Defense must have been exhausted with so much time on the field but they didn’t give up.

Brumfield should be fine against most MWC competition honestly

I heard that he’s OK but in pain. Personally I don’t know if it’s a smart move to play him. I didn’t think it was right to make him play that last drive at UCLA (slower, hurt target prime for major injury and another fumble) so what do I know… He sure proved me wrong

Announced: 85,235

If there was a week to maybe give the 2nd guy a start & look, this would be the week - Could always put Haener in if UNLV manages to make a game of it

I’ve got a feeling that he sits this week. The dogs can beat UNLV with their back up.

That sucks. Hope for a speedy recovery. Hows the backup?

Martell has only played about 3 single plays, so him being out isn't an issue other than he's not going to ride to the rescue has many might have thought - UNLV's started 3 different QB's in 3 games so not sure there is a real #1 - It's a mash up of whoever Arroyo thinks might be able to do something.........and overall none have done much of anything so far

They can, but what worries me is the Heisman hype. As silly as it is. That, plus the ranking game. If you come at it from those angles, that means they take UNLV from behind and make it hurt

Arroyo has recruited well, it’s just that he can’t coach, and his recruits are all first and second year players.
