Two of the rams mwc players - Jeremiah kolone (sjsu) and Tyler hall (wyo) are practice squad players and will be inactive. Austin Corbett (Nevada) is a starter on the OL and donte deayon (Boise) has grown into a key contributor in the secondary after spending multiple years on the practice squad.

Deayon is the most technically sound and instinctive CB to ever play for Boise.

I believe it. The guy has been balling. He’s undersized, but when he entered the rotation the secondary immediately improved. He was hilarious on hard knocks too.

His 5'9 listing is hilarious.  He is a hair over 5'8 and I mean a hair.  If he were two inches taller he would be a top 20 CB.

Corbett from NV is from my high school Reed in Sparks NV

List of every NFL player with 5 First-Team All-Pro selections and at least 1,500 career tackles:

  • Ray Lewis
  • Junior Seau
  • Derrick Brooks
  • Zach Thomas

Only one of them isn't in the Hall of Fame.

This graphic is a little old re: times being a finalist, but it proves my point.

Shit, the fact that Bryant Young made it in as a barely top 20 player at his position is a complete joke.

Two Hall of Fame inductees have literally taken time out of their speeches to call out the fact that he needs to be in Canton — Jimmy Johnson and Kevin Mawae (Jets OL) — but yeah, he's overrated. I mean, let's ask Peyton Manning about just how overrated he was.

Good player, just not a special one. Not HOF material…the voters obviously agree with me.

I do agree with you on Bryant Young though, thought it was an odd choice

A good defense is about unity and cohesion. It’s not Thomas’s fault that he played for a crappy team. He was good, the unit was bad. If he had Joe Burrow as his qb, that team would have come together. I’d give a toe to have Zach Thomas on the Bengals D tomorrow.

We’re all sitting in the dugout. Thinking we should pitch. How you gonna throw a shutout when all you do is bitch.

Every single USA Today football writer picked the rams to win this morning, so let me be the first to congratulate the Cincinnati bengals on their super bowl championship. What a magical ride for a long-suffering team, City, and fan base. Well done.

Zach Thomas HOF is garbage.  If you want to talk about a true underrated player for HOF, we can talk Eric Turner.  Name me a FS that gets 30 INTs in 105 games?  Anyone????

Teams would gameplan around a FS when Eric was playing.  I specifically remember Haywood Jeffries and Ernest Givens saying they wanted no part of the middle of the field. Belichicks first draft pick.  #2 1991.  Who is the highest drafted DB in NFL History?  E-Rock,  I get lots of people with that trivia question.

Now bill plaschke has published a column in the la times predicting not just a rams win, but a blowout. Guarantees it in fact.

Plaschke is 5-17 picking winners in the last 22 Super Bowls.

Once again, congratulations to the Cincinnati bengals. I’m glad I didn’t make any stupid bets involving your chili.

He was a great player, but he didn't have the longevity to vault himself into the upper echelons due to stomach cancer. It's tragic for sure though. Meanwhile, Zach Thomas was one of the greatest players of his generation at his position, he just had the misfortune of playing on mediocre to bad teams, while still being a dominant player.

Oh I know  his career was cut short by cancer and he missed games because he was just an animal big hit machine.   Dude broke his friggin back hitting Darnay Scott.  He was a HOF talent though and if he would've had more games, he'd be in contention.  He got totally robbed of DPOY in 1994.  Led league with 9INTS and had like 140 tackles....at FS.  Don't see anything like that anymore.

I am biased.  He was my good friend from high school.  He was an even better guy.  His death still hurts.  Our HS football field is named after him.

Super Bowl 1, known previously as the AFL-NFL World Championship Game, was played between the Green Bay Packers of the NFL and the Kansas City Chiefs of the AFL. The game was played on January 15, 1967, at the Los Angeles Coliseum in Los Angeles, California.

UCSB hosted the Green Bay Packers in the week leading up to the Super Bowl.
