tf is the RJ thinking? Spinning the fact that you can get inside of a $2 billion stadium for as low as $33, but complaining about $50 parking?

btw, just park at a casino and just say you're checking in to the hotel. Put your game-gear on afterwards.

I don’t think EWU will be favored.  The fact that this is even a debate is embarrassing TBH!

UNLV didn't win one game last year, and looked pathetic to boot. Don't be surprised if EW is favored, unless things majorly changed, UNLV might not win a game this year, either.

Yes, I get it for last year.. no spring camp, no summer workouts, no fall camp, no preseason games, with a brand new rookie coach. But I saw nothing from this coaching staff last year that gives me any confidence.

honestly I wouldn't be surprised if they beat us by 3+ TDs

They played with 60 scholarship players and the entire WR and DB groups opting out or ineligible.  And seven practices before the season started.  No coach would’ve been successful.

Georgia couldn’t even win when their QB depth got decimated because of opt-outs, injuries, and ineffective play.  Stetson Bennett was the fourth string QB, and he couldn’t get first downs against Alabama.

I agree that no coach would have been successful under those circumstances. What I said is that I saw nothing from the staff that gives me any confidence. I watched the games. No imagination, no adjustments, I just won't be surprised at anything. But we'll see what happens this year.

You are being too nice.  Every program had the same issues last year.  Arroyo was a goddamn disaster.  0-6 in the MWC????

No confidence in Arroyo at all.  In fact I think we took a step down from Sanchez.

One thing I never understood was how Arroyo landed on Gilliam to be the starting QB. He had Kenyon Oblad who put up 2,000 yards and 18 TDs as a Redshirt freshman. UNLV's offense went from 24 ppg in 2019 to 17ppg in 2020 with what should've been a more experienced QB/WR/O-line and return of 1st Team All-MWC rusher Charles Williams.

I'll say one thing, it is unlikely Arroyo is a stepdown from the Sanchize. Arroyo is a football guy first and foremost. He has the respect of the team (whether or not he's competent remains to be seen).  Sanchez was a fantastic salesman who coached football. Guys I've spoken to who played under Sanchez caught-wise to alot of the phony pep talks Sanchez was giving to them and how ingenuine he was.

Sanchez was the Uncle Lou of head coaching. Gave every player the same super-secret Indian name.

I agree that every program had the same issues last year, EXCEPT not every program had a first time rookie coach. Spring football and fall camp would be huge losses in that situation. But again, I have no confidence, either.

Maybe I was a little harsh on Arroyo.  The 0-6 thing in MWC games rubbed me the wrong way.  I mean we didn't just go 0-6, we flippin earned that goose egg.  Lost every game by double digits.  If I see another hype video with players dancing around practice before we actually win a game, I'm might lose it lol.

I’m not going to start making any judgments about the Arroyo tenure until Thursday.  He’s had two recruiting classes plus spring and summer practice to evaluate the roster, teach, and install the system.

I don’t expect more than two or three wins, but I’m concerned more about the process at this point.
