UNLV FB Fall Camp

Everyone knows Tate Martell man. Whether it be due to QB1, his highschool/gatorade player of the year career, or his dumb tweets. When he committed last week it was on the frontpage of ESPN.com and there was a blurb about it on PTI Pardon the Interruption on ESPN, hell even Colin Cowherd mentioned it. No other commitment at UNLV has ever even gotten close to as much national pub.

Point is, whether you love him or hate him the kid is a household name and UNLV will have more eyeballs with him as the starter than any of the other guys. If he turns out to be a really good QB, it's a developing story.

Who?

There are two KC's.......the larger one is in MO, the smaller right across the river in KS.............1/2 the overall KC metro area is on the KS side and almost reaches Lawrence where KU is located

I heard the ones on the MO side aren't allowed to watch KS football.

CAMP PRACTICE NUMBER: 2

DAYS UNTIL KICKOFF: 28

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Everyone's got their feet under them now. Yesterday the freshmen were practicing on the college level for the first time, which is always a tough adjustment. Today, everyone's got the gist of things and feeling more comfortable."
--Super Senior Tight End Giovanni Fauolo Sr.

There are some significant number changes in this year's camp as at least eight returning lettermen are sporting different jerseys from last season. Especially notable -- for the first time UNLV has a number zero on its roster.

Other number changes for 2021:
-Quarterback Doug Brumfield moved from 17 to 2
-Defensive back Nohl Williams moved from 16 to 2
-Inside linebacker Jacoby Windmon moved from 35 to 4
-Defensive lineman Naki Fahina moved from 42 to 6
-Defensive back Dominic Brown moved from 2 to 11
-Linebacker Kue Olotoa moved from 17 to 81
-Wide receiver Steve Jenkins moved from 84 to 4

https://lasvegassun.com/news/2021/aug/09/premium-seating-for-unlv-games-is-a-stock-that-is/

“There’s nothing comparable to it in college athletics,” said Burk, UNLV’s director of premium seating. “I’ve been in VIP suites in all cities across the country, and I am still wowed walking in there.”

After years of playing at outdated Sam Boyd Stadium, which lacked player and fan amenities, transitioning to a building with all of the modern luxuries will certainly enhance the program. If coach Marcus Arroyo has his way, having some of the best facilities in the nation will quickly translate into having the best team in the Mountain West Conference.

Raiders probably happy about these moves.  Allows them more time to prepare for their home games.

Not good for UNLV attendance.

Supposedly UNLV is playing Michigan Basketball at TMobile Arena in Vegas the same night as this Football game?

Who at UNLV approved that?

UNLV Football should be practicing at Sunset Park until they have a winning season.

All these other places (UNLV/Raiders) should be a privilege for players that win.

Basketball team should be in North Gym until they have a 20 win season.

Thats just me.  Make them earn it.
