Stability Ranking

SEC>B10>ACC>P12>B12>MAC>AAC>Conference USA>Sunbelt> MWC

(Some are more stable because nobody wants to poach their teams)

This makes no sense, it's strictly your perception.  Have a hard time believing a conference that has only existed for 8 years and recently lost 3 of its top tier teams is more stable than MWC.  Until someone actually leaves the conference, this is perception not reality.

No way.

It is also CSU and Air Force's perception as well. Boise goes to B12, AAC will scoop up more MWC teams and create a west. If Memphis leaves, the AAC has tons of options they can use to fill in.

Your administration is the reason why our basketball league is bleeding out currently. If you didn't insist on San Jose being in the MWC, so you guys would have someone that votes similar to SDSU, every team in the MWC wouldn't have to play 2 games vs. a team with a 330 RPI ranking EVERY season.

So the conference that is scrambling to replace members, and got turned down by their primary targets, is somehow more stable than a conference who doesn't need to replace the dead weight the AAC might take?

Okay.

The  east conference conference that is taking two teams from the west, and has a ton of teams back east to choose from has more stability than the MWC.  CSU sees it coming. They know if Boise goes B12 that they will be in a much safer spot.

They haven't left yet..  Obviously they might but they haven't yet.  Counting your eggs before they've hatched.

First of all, we don't know if anyone is leaving.  Secondly, do you really believe AFA & CSU were their primary targets?

You may have heard them leaving doesn't hurt our media deal.  You may have also noticed a genuine lack of concern if they do leave.

The AAC has Memphis.  If they leave, that conference may as well drop down to FCS.

I refuse to pay stadium prices for food and beverage. You're damned right I'm sneaking it in.

1) You are right. My opinion is based on CSU and AF leaving.  I know that CSU and AF werent their primary targets. But I would guess they were the next two after Boise and SDSU.

2) This is irrelevant to the conversation IMO.

3) You don't believe this. Lets have a conversation without the hyperbole. They can add App State or Coastal Carolina, Liberty,

lol... where in the sentence ' it may happen but it hasn't yet' is evidence of denial?  it's actually a fact because it has, in fact, not happened yet.  And that, my friend, is on you!

(add edit... please note, i did not say it would not happen... just making sure that's clear to you since you are big on saying 'i told you i was right')

I'm just speculating here, but I think the AAC wants a western division of four teams and can only find two who either fit the bill, or will say "yes" to an invitation.

The AAC may end up with UAB and three other teams who are east of the Rockies.

Yeah, I think their western division as it sits now is SMU, CSU, AF, Tulsa and maybe Tulane. The MWC, cant lose any other teams to them.

Tulane in the west.  Does that look like a stable conference?

If  they are really reaching out to UConn, as rumored, (I doubt it) it demonstrates their desperation has reached a point to where they are just trying to find some warm bodies that are willing to join.

I mean west division doesnt mean west coast. It is just the west side of their conference.

I would think staying East and more regional would make more sense for the AAC.  More rivalry potential and less travel expenses

I guess they probably want AF and maybe later game slots available for more TV inventory?

Maybe New Mexico is interested now. They will fit nicely in the west division

The AAC isn't reaching out to anyone.

They are only dealing with teams that reach out to them. (the pool of those teams is big enough that they don't have to recruit)

Everyone they're talking to called them.
