UNLV has a huge Media Market to leverage. And yet, there the Rebels are stuck in the MWC... They have MWC leading: Football facilitiets financed on an NFL team's dime. They still have one of the largest and best BB arenas in the MWC, financed by a national championship basketball program run a generation ago. All I here is how broke they are. How? Cox Pavilllion? The Swim team? It just does not add up. I keep circling back to hookers, blow, and gambling debts. Nothing else makes much sense.

I was commenting about the point the previous fellow made they the "ONLY WAY" UNLV would leave is if the MW didn't pay them the 25 million. They could certainly leave now and pay the exit fee (probably adding to the debt). They could be added to the Big 12 because of all those positives you mentioned. That exit would be free under the new MW guidelines. The better question is why did they stay in the MW. I believe they were invited to the PAC Who. However, they are in the MW now. P.S. It was remarkably condescending of you to snark out that they are "stuck" in the MW. They are not paying an exit fee, they will receive some large amount of the monies coming in, and easy travel in a tight regional conference. Certainly not stuck.. If your program has been invited to join the PAC, please give us your 3-4 main justifications that you think made a difference. If your program was not invited to join the PAC, please share what you think are the main reasons. why not. We have all heard the responses from the AD's and University Admins. I am interested in what the Fans have to say. For SDSU: 1. Money will be better. Not just in the media rights contract, but in leveraging the PAC Enterprises production facilities. 2. PAC will allow those teams who earn money in postseason play to keep 50% plus expenses. 3. Travel and reducing games played at altitude. 4. Oh, the 20 game conference basketball schedule that the MWC instituted for this season. 5. The PAC will likely be the best of the "G" level conferences

So well that UCONN and up to 2-6 additional teams from the AAC are in discussions to potentially make the jump after the end of the year. As in…it is happening. Wanted to check here to see if anyone had heard the same. I am not hearing UConn at all and I doubt USF would be added unless the PAC went big with an Eastern Division. Memphis and Tulane are the top targets and I wouldn't be surprised to see TexSt in the PAC.

We probably didn't want to pay a lot to get into the PAC 12 and the PAC 12 wasn't willing to meet us half way
