And yet, it was a BYU fan that posted the troll job, not a Utah fan.  I mean I get it. Any shot at a rival. I do the same thing. But as you know, you should expect a little splash back when you try to sink a knife in when nobody is looking.

Why would anything you said hurt my feelers? Utah is ranked in the Top 10-15 in every national media outlet right now and Vegas has them as one of the odds on favorites to win the B12 and get into the playoffs. 
 

We are tickled pink for the season to start.  Meanwhile in Provo, your coaching staff has spent the entire off season and spring down at Home Depot buying duct tape and Gorilla Glue trying to figure out how to tape a roster together this year without getting blown out every game.

I posted as you probably saw that i think it has more upside for academics and athletics than the Big12

I know Utah has a pretty prestigious medical school and cancer center.   Utah fans also say academics is a huge factor.

 

Any chance Utah aligns with the ACC and joins Stanford and Cal in a western wing?   

Assuming the ACC loses Clemson and Florida St,, it will still be a very prestigious academic conference and would need 2 replacements

selfishly I would not complain is San Diego St partnered with Utah as the 2nd replacement.   ACC has 2 northern california schools and San Deigo State could be a Southern California addition

Personally, zero interest in the ACC for me. I would venture to guess many Ute fans feel this way. At least the fans in my circle feel this way. 
 

I think the B12 is the current best option for us. I also think Utah can maintain and improve our academic profile without being associated with the ACC.

Going out on a limb here: I think the Utah vs USU contest in Logan will be closer than the Utah vs BYU contest in SLC. Why do I think this? because I need some hope in my life football wise.

It will be nice for the MWC and for the PNW Twins, but I don't really see it as a huge game-changer for the MWC.  A positive, for sure.

WSU and OSU are going to be coming in with fine wine tastes and a beer budget, so it is going to be a bit of an adjustment period for them.

As I related to my delusional Coug brethren, WSU was the lowest current Power 5 team, revenue-wise, at $79 million. $13-some million below OSU at the bottom, with the rest at or (in most cases far above) $100 million. Behind a small handful of current AAC teams, and below SDSU at just over $100 million. I'm sure NIL monies are similar.  

So WSU can't compete with the P4. Period. The only solution is the reverse merger. Rename it whatever we want. I am warming up to the "PacWest-14".

To clarify, by July 1, 2026. IMHO, The Pac-2 absolutely can't wait until FY 25 to commence a move. Probably effective 7/1/26 (I would prefer 7/1/25), but something has to be agreed upon, if not in place, before next July. Media negotiations, Bowl affiliation negotiations, future schedules, recruiting, etc, etc. Year 2 in the WCC? F-that. 

I continue to be a broken record, but this Big-12 or ACC delusion just needs to end. There will be no Western pod. CalFurd can just deal with the travel. The Big-12 doesn't want us. And won't. And even if either were to happen, which they won't, it would be shitty. Lots of lengthy travel, worst funded school(s) in either conference, fan disinterest. Blah blah blah.
