Again, talk to an NCAA Division I baseball coach who actually schedules BYU, and ask them what a problem them not playing on Sundays is. I have. Several, in fact, one of whom was the most successful college coach in the 21st century before he retired. 

The Big Ten tournament ends on Sunday. So does the SECs. They don't have to schedule around BYU. 

Yeah, would love to hear about all the D1 baseball coaches you interviewed and asked about BYU’s no Sunday play…. If there’s any truth to that whatsoever, I’m embarrassed that BYU lives that rent free in your head.  Fortunately, most see this for the BS it is.

Needs more than an R1 to join.  As we've mentioned many times, the Dakota schools don't check off the other boxes.

You should be a little happy though. At least this game won’t be on ESPN+ or FS1 like most of your games last year with atrocious TV ratings.  I think your ratings against Cincy and Houston had like 150K viewers. 
 

When you play a likely top 10 team like Utah, they move you up in the pecking order.  This game will actually be good TV ratings for your little school. 90% of the viewers will be Utah interest. But nevertheless a win for UCF either way. 

If Cam Rising is still healthy by this game, Utah should be favored by 10 at your rusty shitbox stadium.

Interesting article. UTSA has not been in any conversation that I have seen. Nor North Texas. Tulane is everpresent in the mind of one delirious poster on my board. Here's the thing - what do they bring that offsets their relatively remote locations? And the Pac-2 would be idiots to spend mega-millions to lure some MW schools to bolt. We need that money to soften our blow. Reverse merge with all or almost all of the MW to form the new Pac-12/14. That is the only viable and intelligent solution.

Rather than interesting, the word I would use is humorous. Here's the evolution of Chris Murray's article, which I tell in the biblical manner it deserves:

Greg Swaim (who appeared to be a wack job a year ago and was later proven to be one) begat Andrew Hughes (pronounced "Who's?") who then begat Farouk Yusuf (see Andrew Hughes) who begat Adam Thompson (a betting handicapper rather than a reporter), Murray's source.

As befits Murray's history, you can't base your opinion on better sources than that.

At some point, does the revival of a 2 program, and no longer considered P5 PAC over a pretty healthy 12 member MWC, just  become the punchline of a pretty stale joke?

We can't be too far off.

I would put my money on the MWC adding a couple of PNW schools like (WSUU and OSU) before the PAC2 adds anyone.

So many topics on this thread.  Not being sarcastic, for those that follow NDSU, what FBS invites did they turn down and when?  Just curious.

Wow!! 1800 pages!!!  Has there really been that much to discuss?

Sadly, I would venture to guess that when PAC2 or MWC12 decides to make a move, it will be not so much with a bang, but a whimper.

If am reading this right, the most likely scenarios (according to the Bookies.com oddsmakers) is that the PAC2 throws in the towel and then, one can assume, the MWC will add the 2 PAC PNW schools.

Much ado about not much.

I still believe the best thing for the MWC is to get the PNW twins to join the league for all sports and try to convince Gonzaga and St. Mary's to join as non-football schools.

I believe that would instantly elevate the reputation and status of the MWC.
