I asked you to start another thread, when you high-jacked my thread that had ZERO to do w/BYU or the BIG-XII.

I was kidding of course. I actually like some of your material. BYU has kicked a lot of Azztecs throughout the years. And I lived in Utah for nearly 20 years. However, been to a lot of football games, and Ute fans are irritating.

Yes, and in Building 5, as well as worked some at Plant 19 and on a NATO project off Ruffin Road. I left over 30 years ago before they could try to move me to Tucson.

Smart move, avoiding Tucson. My dad was in that Ruffin Rd building his last few years with GD. I think he retired about '94 or so. (Don't let Mr. Infection know this isn't MWC related)😆

It's not their fault. Joseph Smith and Brigham Young told them they wouldn't get their own planet postmortem if they consumed any intoxicants while on Earth and in their minds, that's OUR fault.

FWIW...this yr, Wazzu would be competitive in hoops.  Los Beavs, not so much.

 

 

 

There were rumblings that George Kliavkoff was trying to grease the skids with Gloria Nevarez for OSU and WSU (and perhaps even California and Stanford at the time) to merge with the MWC 12. As such, if the ACC didn't get NC State U to change their vote for expansion, the Pac 4 becomes the Pac 16. George Kliavkoff felt he could keep the CFP Autobid with that 16-team group but Stanford didn't want to elevate the MWC California State Schools with that association. So now they have to fly their volleyball team to Wake Forest and George K is out of a job.

We are going to the PAC-12, not all of us though.

 

I have always liked RebelRobert but his information is bad here.

The deal was always for a complete merger between the Pac 2-4 and the MWC with Kliavkoff remaining in charge if Stanford and California stay, and Nevarez taking over the Commissioner role if California and Stanford leave.

OSU and Wazzu are going to pursue the following in order, regardless of how likely it is or not:

1-Join or buy their way into the ACC or Big12 (banking on ACC collapse)

2-Poach teams from the MWC and probably AAC, try to get Calford back, keep P5 Status

3-Go Independent, maintain P5 Status

4-Full merger with the MWC

The most likely scenario is obviously #4 and the one I personally think is going to happen eventually. As a Montana fan I'm hoping for #2 as it would give us the best chance to move up with MSU.

The United Athletic Conference plans to move up to FBS at the "earliest possible date". Montana and Montana State should try to go with them.
