They have an >80% admission rate with 3.6 weighted average gpa and under 1100 sat at Nebraska.  UCF average gpa was 4.3 sat  1330 with a 36% admission rate.  UCF is a good school, not elite yet, but getting there.

No it’s not, medical research is bunk at Nebraska. Nebraska’s medical research expenditures were $173m last year…as a flagship school that’s been around since 1869.  UCF’s med school, only 17 years old, had $217 million in research expenditures last year.  Most internal med/PCP’s from Nebraska come from Creighton.

That didn't happen due to HUBRIS. The Big 12 is now positioned nationally like the Big 10 is, and there is not a lot the ACC can do to stop the same thing from happening there aside from joining with the Pac2MWC.

 

The pac could do that if they wanted to hand over their entire warchest they just got from the teams leaving the PAC to the remaining MWC teams. I calculate around $225 million dollars to the remaining MWC teams if a conference such as this were to be made. 5 teams x $34 million exit fee(unless anounced before this summer, which it wouldn't) which the Pac would most likely have to help with, plus around $55 million to the PAC for breaking the contract and inviting less than all the MWC to join the PAC.

Or they could save that money and join/merge/reverse merge with the entire MW and use the money to build the conference instead of funding their direct competition western football league.

What war chest?  There is no exit fee tor leaving the P12.

It was about control of everything, but it doesnt change the fact that there is no exit fee.  And the departing members are still entitled to this year's revenue distribution.

I think those 2 schools will still receive a decent chunk of money but even if not the point is even bigger. THey don't have the money to fund breakaways from the MW unless the schools all decided to borrow money to pay off teams that would be their direct competition which would be even dumber. 

Thats what I don't get about all the fans trying to create a hybrid PAC or somehow by not taking all the MW then it makes that big of deal in the strength of the PAC, the contracts that are signed make it virtually impossible to do. The PAC 2 are either going to make into the Big 12(or ACC) if other shakeups happen or they are merging somehow with the entire MW.

The model changed with the Big 10 deal (national coverage) and the Pac 12 Presidents were powerless and the ACC Presidents are powerless.

Going back to your original take that GK was in control and made all these decisions for the P12 and was out played by a guy named Yormark is what I’m talking about. Presidents made the decisions.

They have a huge enrollment which leads Florida, but there's a reason locals call it "U Can't Finish". Beyond good enrollment numbers I don't see it either.

I think most people in the country would take a degree from TCU over a degree from UCF in a heartbeat.  You are a perfect example of why UCF is a shitty academic institution, if you even made it to college.

Somehow, I don't think being the Assistant Supervisor in the Walmart Produce Department required much of an education.  I bet there is an 85% chance you have goals to someday go back and finish your GED..

You missed the boat.  Liberty already made the Fiesta bowl from CUSA.   NDSU should have been playing and proving themselves at the FBS level for years now if they really wanted to make the jump.  How many rounds of realignment have they sat out now.  With WSU and OSU as realistic options on the horizon, i don't see NDSU being needed for a long time by the MWC.  But if WSU and OSU somehow pull off a best of the rest, highly unlikely to say the least, than there will be a lot of schools in play, including yours for a rebuilding MWC.
