Don’t care about the PAC.  They’re dead.  That wasn’t who I was talking about.  Anything you hear about the PAC trying to make plays in realignment is just back channel posturing from their people trying to keep the lights on as long as possible.  They have nothing and are just trying to figure out who owes what in dissolution.

Partially right.  

The departing teams are still paying full price, however they are bartering favorable games for conference teams.  For example, if BSU went to the B1G (I know, it is just an example), then the MWC could negotiate a game with Ohio State for SDSU or FSU which has a value of a couple of million dollars.  

So in this case, the exit fee is being bought down by bartering key interconference games.

Joe Maloof played Defensive back at UNM. I think Gavin played at a JUCO in NM. I think it's interesting that the Maloof family got their start in my hometown of Las Vegas, New Mexico but made it big in LV, NV. I remember their grandfather owned a movie theater in Las Vegas, NM and he would walk up and down the aisle with a flashlight and would yell at kids for holding hands or kissing haha.

The real powers in college football have spoken and this would be instant death. It is not an option. 

Even if that's accurate, it's irrelevant to the Pac situation. Nobody in their right mind thinks that conference has a chance to retain autonomy status or whatever the new term for power conference is. So that's not the goal of rebuilding the Pac. The goal is to create the best conference among the non-autonomous and if the twins could obtain the most valuable half-dozen MWC schools, that goal would be achieved.

And don't try to tell me they can do that by merging with the 12-member MWC. As I continue to say without logical rebuttal, going forward, college football will be more about the money than it has ever been and the revenue per university of a new Pac-8 would be double that of the current MWC plus OSU and WSU.

One was a late night FS1 game, the other was on BTN.  But it is a bit low - the 343k was for the Mich game only.  The ASU game had 195k.  But that still puts them last on the list.

I’m not going to speculate as to the particulars just that there isn’t a buyout that has not been reduced.  Whatever ends up happening I feel good about where the members in the current mwc stand moving forward.

FS1 is getting frustratingly low viewership regardless of who’s playing this season it seems.
