I mean not to be a dick buy why are Cowboy and Nevada fans bringing up no room at the trough for additional schools?

San Antonio MSA: 2.6M. DMA: 31  FPI:1.9

Memphis MSA: 1.34M DMA: 51  FPI: 1.3

New Orleans MSA: 1.26M DMA: 50 FPI: 3.8

Wyoming State: 581K  DMA: duplicate FPI:-3.3

Reno MSA: 531k  DMA: 102  FPI: -14.1

I mean good god.  No one but Robert is saying to kick people out but here is the range FPI:

New Mexico: -18.0

CSU: -15.3

AF: -5.1

Wyoming: -3.3

I’m not disrespecting these programs. I’m saying there is no TV money for the 8th favorite program in their respective markets. They are in big markets dominated by big programs.

The only school off the top of my head that would be an eye riser could be Memphis but that won't be happening but just saying

Cost vs benefit.  They'd add a lot, but at what cost?  Worth talking to TV about, but I don't think the $$ is a slam dunk.

LOL, you were mentioning schools…..

Gonzaga would certainly move the needle in the TV contract.

Not as much as you'd like to think.  BB only is 25 cents on the dollar for what FB brings.

I’m on WSU’s side.  My wife is a WSU alum.  The filed suit for a reason

I earned an MA from WSU. I get 20 calls a year asking for money to pay off its debt. Note to self. Never dominate $500. Huge mistake. That program is in for a rude awakening as far as $$ is concerned. Beautiful facilities it had no money to construct.

Gonzaga, LMAO!  They are completely meaningless in this discussion.  It would be fantastic to add them, but they bring little financially and don't play football.

Someone posted it pages and pages ago but I thought they've brought in millions to the WCC, would improve the NET (I don't know basketball well at all, is this the correct term?) of the Conference and be a Nationally recognized brand. Following the Big12 idea of good Football and great Basketball would help keep the MWC/PAC relevant.

Because MWC was told by their partners when approached last year there was no one out there that moved the needle for the conference for payment. And you won't invited more schools if there is not an increase in TV money or enough to move the needle

+++++ I give up.  @RebelRobert you are correct.  The best move is to give notice now and leave in 25 for 17M.  Certain schools have never even competed for a MWC Championship for a reason.

The WCC won't even announce the value of their TV contract in their press releases--thus it's peanuts.   There isn't the big money in college basketball.  The Big East is only making 40M a year (divided 11 ways), and they are one of the top conferences.

Gonzaga would definitely provide value to the conference, but it probably wouldn't be a high priority.  The WCC lets them keep 60% of the tourney credits they earn, which is gonna be a hard deal for the MWC to beat.

Depends if it wins this lawsuit.

True, but indirectly it brings a lot. Tourney credits, but mostly it increases the power of the conf in basketball which allows the other schools to get better with players and coaches. It also gets fans more engaged. So with the entire conf rising, you just make more money with better attendance, get better ratings, more tourney credits, better games for fans, etc. It can also attract other great schools to join.

No one is leaving Wyoming behind jackass. They bring 1000x more value to the conference than UNLV ever will.

Sean.  I don’t want to leave you or Wyoming behind.  But if it comes down to a forced choice between Wyoming, Nevada, CSU over Memphis, Tulane and UTSA I am taking the latter 3 every time.  And intransigence could well lead to that choice.

Can’t be any clearer that the plan is to invite best of MWC and AAC.

Wake up MWC fans and start planning for your bleak futures.

fyi your link changed to a random yahoo article.

Feels like a tall task with just 2 members. Most similar to the Idaho and NMSU situation in the WAC.
Especially for their oly sports and filling up schedules. Will need to find every tournament and open spot in schedules to fill the bulk of a season. They will essentially be “Indy” schools for all their sports for 2024 if they are still at 2 members.
Also would be interesting if they can get a NCAA tourney invite for sports as the ‘PAC’ representative with 2 members lol

I would only get nervous if I ever agreed with you because you’re always wrong.
