Ryan Murphey accuses the Russian gold medalist of doping after finishing silver in the 200 back.

Yikes!

What a loser.  3 seconds slower than Piersol's American (and World) Record and he's complaining about other dude's doping?

Is he also saying Piersol and Lochte are doping, because they are both faster?

Yeah, came off as being a bad sport.

Self doubt is a mental issue. Losing your spatial awareness because the neural pathways are no longer connecting is a physical one. These are two different things and two different explanations in as many days. Biles said it wasn’t a physical issue.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcchicago.com/news/sports/tokyo-summer-olympics/simone-biles-reveals-what-led-to-her-surprising-withdrawal-in-gymnastics-team-final/2567706/%3famp

"Physically, I feel good," the 24-year-old Ohio-native told Kotb exclusively on TODAY after her withdrawal. "Emotionally it varies on the time and moment. Coming to the Olympics and being head star isn't an easy feat."

Before her withdrawal, Biles had an uncharacteristically poor vault, and she failed to stick the landing. After her vault, she could be seen being evaluated by Team USA trainers.

According to a statement from USA Gymnastics, Biles withdrew due to a medical issue. The organization said she will be assessed daily to determine medical clearance for future competitions. Biles' coach wrote to NBC after Biles' exit, "Physically she is fine. But she is done for the night."

I think this topic breaks on gender lines......

Biles cracked and she was right in the team competition to pull out and not hurt her team.

But in male culture cracking under pressure is not okay.  Why?  Because if you crack under pressure families don’t get fed, people in war get killed, businesses fail and people lose jobs.   That reason is why business owners like to hire top athletes because they have proven they don’t crack under pressure.   Hell the whole last episodes of Seal Team was all about cracking under pressure.

I think men and women view this topic very differently.

Biles drops out of the Vault and Uneven Bars finals.

In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

The Belgian gymnast is probably the runaway favorite in uneven bars. Vault could go to Andrade on her best day.

You don't think Suni wins bars?  Carey has a .4 advantage over Andrade based on difficulty, but Andrade could bust out her Amanar, which there are clips of her landing in practice.

The Belgian has been consistently one of the world's best at that event, including this Olympics. Would be surprised.

For now...

If she’s still gonna do floor, she’s not pulling out. Maybe having a new golden girl eased the pressure off her. She did not look thrilled watching the all around. Biles doesn’t want the last thing people remember of her Olympic career to be her walking out.

We’re all sitting in the dugout. Thinking we should pitch. How you gonna throw a shutout when all you do is bitch.
