What do we do to get the Bobs & Rebels 18 vaccinated.

hospitals have largely NOT been overwhelmed with covid patients. Sorry, it's a fact. The hospital my brother is a resident at in Denver was beyond ICU capacity just this week and had zero covid patients. Hospitals periodically get busy.

Yeah because Denver is a blue state.  Try being a resident in AZ and you might have a different opinion.

Let's see - longstanding and universally accepted norms and laws about public decency and public health vs forcing an experimental vaccine on children that have a such good chances of surviving and not incurring harmful effects from this virus that it could be said children are not affected, and, oh, tens of millions of people vehemently disagree with forcing covid vaccine on children and young adults.

Perhaps we are talking at different levels.  I’m referring to mask requirements which are no different than the requirement to wear shoes or cover up in some establishments.

if you don’t want to get vaccinated it’s on you but that doesn’t requires others to accept your un-masked presence.

Well, if 1 hospital in Denver is ok, then that changes everything....

In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

To be fair I’m using one doctor in AZ.   But it raises a question of whether Bob is smart enough to have an MD brother.  Perhaps one of them is adopted.

Obviously.

Meanwhile, I spent the last week out in California, and my dad (an active family practice physician) told me that he's seeing more and more patients showing up who test positive for COVID. I also just did a telehealth visit with a doctor because I have a nasty cold after traveling, and the first thing he asked is if I gotten my COVID vaccine, and mentioned that he's experienced much the same as my dad has. That's obviously anecdotal as well, but it does directly contradict Bob.

Exactly. You aren't getting the vaccine (nothing wrong with that...many of my closest friends aren't getting it for a variety of reasons either and to each their own) but you also aren't the type to demand everyone kowtow to your "safety wishes" or whatever either. Those people (generally speaking) already have the vaccine anyway, so it's time to just move on. What's done is done.

wut? his whole politics is to force the world around him to kowtow to his personal wishes

The free weed, though, is genius. Nothing will more easily convince an apathetic 20-something to get vaccinated than a guarantee of cheap and/or free weed.

No, you colossal f*cking retard. We've been having guests over through the pandemic but hang out outside near our pool. The difference now is if you're not a clinically certified bunny f*cker and got vaccinated like the rest of us, you have the option to kick it inside the house as well.

As this applies to my friends, we tend to kick it outside anyway because we live in paradise as opposed to a lifeless desert shithole, and I like to enjoy a cigar over drinks with my friends. But if they're not vaccinated - like you or that c*ntmonkey dipshit @Bob - they have to go pee in the gulley behind the pool as opposed to inside the house. That's all. Got it?

The irony of your post is that I’m fully vaccinated!

Who’s the f-ckt-rd now?!?!

No, for whatever reason people are kowtowing to them out of "safety" when the people who are being kowtowed too are the people who are the "most vulnerable". if people like Bob don't want to get a vaccine and wear a mask or whatever, that's cool, but the rest of us shouldn't go out of our way to cater to their needs. If they die, they die. They don't seem to care, and neither should we.

Except Bob wants to throw the gays in chains and keep the border closed and force people in to service jobs

he doesn't care about personal freedom

For sure, but MGM doing it is a BFD.

Of course. Far larger pool of employees. Still, there seems to be a building consensus with employers down there. It's definitely interesting.

On a side note, I was down there two weeks ago visiting family. It was weird to walk through the casino at South Point, which is where I stayed, and see how busy it was. And knowing the vaccination percentages down there, it was pretty obvious that a significant spike was coming.

Yeah it's here. It was always gonna happen as soon as Vegas opened up. And now that the Delta is hospitalizing the 20-40 crowd, I expect to start hearing about bed shortages any day. NV now leads the country in hospitalization, with 90% of them in Clark County.

That's not good. For the people and the economy.

Nobody who cares about personal freedom should have a problem with the un-vaxxed being thrown to the wolves at this point. Let them harvest the fruits of their decisions.

I don't disagree with that. I just disagree with characterizing Bob as loving personal choice. He just says he does to be able to put as little effort as possible in. Otherwise he loves government control.

With the caveat that the rate of serious illness in kids holds. No reason to believe it won't at this point, but let's hope it stays that way. If some mutation makes this more harmful to kids, though, then the unvaxxed will become a big problem. As it stands now, you and me are pretty much on the same page, I think.
