Aztec Stadium Update

Saw on ESPN.com's CFB website that the topping out of the stadium was just done with 14 months to go on construction.  Think they will finish in time?

In the UT today they said they’re slightly ahead of schedule. The next phase is putting pre-cast components in place so can occur expeditiously.

Look 2/3 the way down:  Aztec Stadium is named as a potential football (soccer) venue for "8" group matches during the upcoming 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympic Games.   

 

 

 

Wow, they are really going to play soccer on fake turf at SoFi, including the men's finals?

I would think that they would lay sod, temporarily, over the turf or concrete thereunder. I believe that FIFA has required that in the past for stadiums with artificial turf.
