Covid 19 can lead to diabetes

Yeah but the vaccine can turn you gay and into a Satan worshiper.  What's a little diabetes compared to that?

Not to mention it’s made from the DNA of aborted babies!

Well it sure helped putting the pounds on by staying home. And obesity can lead to diabetes. I talked to a guy last night that said he gained 50 pounds in the last year. I put on ten myself.

I started working primarily from home over two years ago and have packed on almost 30lbs. At 5' 8", that's a shit ton of weight.

I am back to college weight and waistline.   A friend said the pandemic will do one of three things to you.  You will come out as a Drunk, Chunk, or a Hunk.

Yoga is amazing.

I'm a drunk chunk! I'm hoping to find the time to start hiking and scouting for this upcoming elk season. Figure that would help a little bit.

I put on the COVID 1+9 myself from March to March while working from home. I've managed to get rid of half of it in the last 3 months. Hope to drop the rest in the next 3. Just cut back on the snacks being too handy and started being more physical again.

100% this. I was furloughed for a few months at the beginning of the pandemic. Put the home gym to good use!

No stats around frequency, wonder why?  This is probably such a rare occurrence that it’s barely worth worrying about unless you’re feeding some sort of fear porn agenda.

I don't think we know yet.  I personally know of a case of a teacher in Seattle who developed Diabetes right after covid.  A nurse told her they were seeing this in Seattle so I came across this.

It seems like theoretically COVID can increase DM risk but right now I don't really see any evidence showing it's clinically significant. Just like statins can also increase DM risk, but it's so small and the benefit from them is so high. Still, i highly recommend taking every precaution to not contract COVID if you can (get vaccinated).

We know…. If this happened with any frequency there’d be tons of cases with >70M estimated infections in this country. I don’t doubt that this has impacted a few unlucky folks but let’s not get carried away.

sure but like heart issues from many virus infections this could reveal itself over time.    Too  early to know
