The "Jimmy Kimmel" LA Bowl, MWC vs. Pac-12

I saw the Sun Bowl. But the AZ bowl played same day at a different time and on CBSSN with the exception of last year.

Got nothing to do with the Sun Bowl.  The game cannot be played at 3pm.

Read it again.

In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

This is a truly bad JOKE.............much like the guy who they are idiotically naming this bowl game after.

Much like playing on a weird colored field. It's a gimmick that gets people talking about the bowl game. You'd think fans of certain schools would understand.

Yeah, cause it's a UNLV grad?

I'm guessing it should probably be named after Kellan Moore, yeah?

Then they could name it the Mr Ed LA Bowl.

Better than the Cheezit Bowl... just sayin'...

How much does the LA Bowl pay out? What time is it on TV? Those are the important questions.

Payout :  "it will financially be the most lucrative bowl game, other than a CFP or BCS game, that we’ve played in.”

Time : December 18, 7:30 ET/4:30PT on ABC.

Seems like it will be > 2.9 million (the 2019 LV Bowl payout), which is about $1m more than the largest AAC Bowl game payout of 2.06 million for the Military Bowl.

I'm good with that.

Next Task for the MWC: Replace the Arizona Bowl (only a 350k payout) with the new Poinsettia Bowl in San Diego.

He’s a douchebag and this is a d bag move.  Who names a game after themselves?  I guess the upside is he will promote the game on his show.

He’s an ASU grad.  Didn’t know he attended UNLV.  I guess he did for a year.

He rocks UNLV gear quite often. I’ve heard him talk about UNLV on his show.

A proud alum of both Clark High and Kenny Guinn, just like me. He’s done some pretty awesome stuff over the years for both schools. Like this new car for his (and my) favorite teacher ever:

And he helped raise money for Luke Werner, a beloved figure at Clark, after he was struck with cancer (and later died). Luke had down syndrome, but was ever-present at Clark and all its sporting events for decades. We all knew him. Just a neat thing to do, nearly 30 years after Kimmel graduated.

Ok, maybe I should take back my d bag statement.  Although I’m not a big fan of his public persona these days, he seems to be a good guy.
