Do I just have my teams and shit blinders on when to me it seems to me like Democrats will accept when one of their own does something disturbing while Republicans deny everything and blame it on the deep state/liberal media?

I mean, didn't they effectively force Al Franken to resign after that picture came out?

@IanforHeisman I mean, Bill Clinton used the power of his position to intimidate women into having sex (that's rape, btw) and Hillary went about systematically destroying the victims lives and you almost voted her into the white house.

Well for one low easy price of twenty-five million dollars we can make you a hero by bringing home a political prisoner and get the government to pay you back in full. And if the President doesn’t pardon you, we’ll pay you back with interest. You’d be losing money not taking this deal!”

Spot on! None of this makes any sense.

I did no such thing.

I get your point though. I was just looking for somewhat close situation to compare this to.

I still agree with Ian's point though. When this kind of stuff happens to Republicans, they circle the wagons and blame the deep state and any and everything else that they can. Duncan Hunter was indicted, and they let him stay in office and keep his committee assignments (I was wrong, they stripped him of his committees), and it took him actually resigning for him to leave Congress after he changed his plea to guilty, Chris Collins was arrested and indicted, yet still ran for and won re-election. A picture of Al Franken being an idiot while he was on a USO tour came out, and then women came forth with other allegations against him, and he was pretty much forced to resign from the Senate.

None of that is to say that the Democrats are great and don't have TONS of issues, because they sure as +++++ do. I hope the GOP does the right thing with Gaetz, especially with all of the shit that's coming out now.

I don't see any wagons being circled here.  At least not in Washington, unless you count Jim Jordan.  Maybe some online communities?

Yeah, that was confusing, I was speaking to Ian but quoted you.

Gym and most of Trump-world have come out behind him. That'll probably stop if/when Trump distances himself.

What did Hillary do to the women?

Yeah Democrats have their fair share of scumbags for sure, I just feel like they’re better at taking responsibility and getting rid of the problem. For the most part anyways, Bill probably has a much shadier past than we know about and he’s not vilified. I think it’d be best to cut ties with anyone that spent significant time with Epstein.

I could see Gaetz marrying his dad so they don’t have to testify against each other.
