Starting five as of today

Jordan McCabe/Keshon Gilbert

Nick Blake

Donovan Williams

Arthur Kaluma/Victor Iwuakor

Royce Hamm Jr./Moses Wood

Switch Victor and Moses. Iwuakor is a rim protecting center in the mold of George Ackles

Diong will be missed. He was just starting to play well. Building a squad with more length and quickness will help but we still need a rim protector. Diong had that covered but was and is not what we will need to progress nationally.

He is no good.  Look at his stats.  The guy would do ok vs. the dregs of college basketball (Air Force/New Mexico/Fresno/SJSU).  When you play somebody decent or a big game the Ding Dong would get 2 points or 4 points.  He is not for us.

4 points UNC

2 points Alabama

2 points SDSU

DING DONG!  Goodbye and good riddance.

Btw, @qwelishthis is why the rest of the common sense Non UNLV world laughs at some of you guys. You guys act like you are Kentucky and should be treated like Kentucky.. Well, Kentucky put in the work in the past and are still doing it. People respect that.

There might be a national reference to the early 90's teams when talking about possible great teams but other than that, nobody respects UNLV..

As soon as you dominate "a terrible conference", you might get some respect. You aren't Kentucky, your are a struggling team in a decent basketball conference.   Nevada and SDSU have put a shit load of more work into the game than you have.  They aren't Kentucky either but their fans know it.

I don't do any of that. It doesn't take genius to look at tournament performance and realize that the mwc has been bad.

UNLV has been too bad to win the mwc or get into the dance. Therefore UNLV is off the hook for tournament performance.

reno, suds, csu and usu are not.

UNLV is the only program in the Mt worst with any track record of winning in the postseason.

Talking about UNLV does nothing for the reno postseason resume.

An obvious point you don't seem to grasp.

doesn't matter what we say. Mtn worst performance in the dance speaks for itself.

Mtn worst needs UNLV to be good to elevate the rest of the conference.

reno and suds certainly haven't done it.

Any team being good elevates the conference.  Vegas being good, should we ever see it, is no more valuable to the conference than Utah State being good.  We just need 3-4 teams flirting with an at large bid.  It doesn't really matter who they are.
