This is kind of the end game of Trumpism, isn't it? Christian Nationalism?

Oh man.... you are going down a rabbit hole.   Do you know how many philosophers have tried to prove the existence of God using thought experiments?  That is why they call it faith.....

Why do you hate the possibilities of physics?

Anti science atheists make me laugh

I mean, something that is always and forever that created us with intelligence so great there is no way we could comprehend it is...well....God.

And it could very well want us, it's creation, to follow a certain path and send it's "son" to us to help get us there.

Sorry that the science allows for God, and Christianity.  That must make you mad.

No, not mad......more than a few cosmologists hold a religious leaning.

Paleontologist Robert Bakker is a minister of some sort, so he can get along with dinosaurs & religion

Robert T. Bakker - Wikipedia

So, if humans are the ones a "creator" was really wanting to get the attention of, that creator spent a lot of time on this project with a earth without humans - My opinion is that there might be some slim chance there is a creator of everything.........the gods we now know & all previous gods that existed in various cultures are a creation of the human mind

Doesn't mean a god - just means someone else created a thing

The "god" creation of the human mind isn't what might be behind the whole thing

When you die we will do a mwc séance right here so you can tell us the truth.   If you new ip address is 666.666.666.66 we'll know what happened.

I mean, something that would have intelligence beyond our comprehension, as a quantum computing universe would, is beyond our ability to guess the whats and whys.  It would have more than enough capacity to take interest in intelligence.

The science says a "god" is possible.  Your own ego and hubris is on you.

Some of the smartest standup I've ever seen. From the same special...

What I’m saying is enjoy everything. This is all we have. Or maybe it’s not, I don’t know. I won’t make fun of your answers, does anybody here– clap if you believe in an afterlife. (applause) Clap if you don’t believe in it, but you’re open to it. -(applause) -You don’t think there’s evidence, -but you’re open to it. -(applause) Anybody reincarnation? Reincarnation? (scattered clapping) And who thinks it’s just dead over, you just unplug the TV, boom? (applause) I think you’re all right. (laughter) I think those are all correct answers. What I think is funny about it, though, is all my friends think it’s dead over. They just think you unplug the TV, and it’s lights out. And they all say the same thing to me. They’re just like, “Pete, think about it. “Afterlife? “Makes no sense. “Makes no sense, an afterlife. “You think an afterlife makes sense? “You gotta think about that again, cause an afterlife…” (laughter) “Afterlife makes no sense.” And I’m always like, “Yeah, I agree with you. “You know what else makes no sense? +++++ing this.” (laughter) “Life makes no +++++ing sense.” So I would argue that life sets a precedent for potentially more shit that makes no sense. Does that make sense? -(cheers and applause) -But my friends… -Why not? -(applause) But my friends are all like, “Nah, man, there’s this bullshit “that we all woke up in that’s confusing, that none of us asked for.” (laughter) “And then no more bullshit. It’s a one-time bullshit deal.” What? Nothing makes +++++ing sense. Life makes no sense.

Planning is an exercise of power, and in a modern state much real power is suffused with boredom. The agents of planning are usually boring; the planning process is boring; the implementation of plans is always boring. In a democracy boredom works for bureaucracies and corporations as smell works for skunk. It keeps danger away. Power does not have to be exercised behind the scenes. It can be open. The audience is asleep. The modern world is forged amidst our inattention.

It’s almost as if horrible people do horrible things, with or without religion.

There is nothing wrong with religion.   I just don't really care for Muslims, Atheists, Christirans, etc., to shove their TRUTH down my throat.  It takes quite a bit of arrogance/confidence to assume you have it all figured out and you need to impose that on everyone else.

Knowing that the infidels/gays/whatever are subhuman because you know the truth is where religion gets dangerous.  Everyone thinks they are the "chosen people."

You're conflating "god" in the sense of modern religion with a higher intelligence that could be anything

The universe is trying to kill us all the time........that doesn't seem to fit the mold of a "loving god" that modern religions try to peddle

Pure experimentation by a higher intelligence is more what we are living in if that is anything close to reality or possible

People always thank god for their good fortune to survive something, but if that same god is all loving & creator of everything, then he gives you the bad too  ..same theory with the devil thing, if 'god' created everything, then he created the devil too & just won't fix that flaw or doesn't want to :oldman:

That last part is false religion — signed, good theology.

That's the god of the human mind.......then add in the human driven prejudices & viola you've got a religion to sell to some suckers that want to buy what you're selling.

Just make people jump thru the hoops, follow the wacky rules of dress, thinking & do what the top guys tell you.....and always remain loyal & send in $$$

I mean, the fact we exist and are having this conversation means you are wrong.  It is miraculous we are able to do so.  Neigh mathematically impossible.  About a one in a one thousand, trillion chance.

Thinking it was by design...just makes mathematical sense.

Maybe the life on earth for 700 millions years before we got around to this was just the warm up act !!

T-Rex with those faulty arm design was an evolutionary dead end where key boards are concerned

Honestly, this is just as plausible as any bible story - Who's to say some space faring bunch of geneticists flew past an outer arm planet 48 millions years ago, dropped into Gondwana & scooped up a few newly bi-pedal apes that showed some potential, tweaked a few genes & sent them on their way & checked back in every few hundred thousand years to check on evolutionary progress :fish:

I mean don't get snarky with me, get snarky at the physics that say "God" could very well be real, that creation could very well be designed by said "God" and that said "God" my very well be invested in the evolution of his creation.

Sorry to shit on your atheism bruh.
