OT - Tiger Woods hospitalized following car accident

Still should’ve had a blood test, I’m not buying the whole “it’s tough to get a warrant” bullshit.

I believe he went across a median and hit a curb and there were no skid marks, if you’re doped up on pain meds hitting a tree and flipping 3 times would likely wake you up.

Or possibly distracted, looking at his phone on an unfamiliar road

Sure, but a blood test still should have been done.

Edit, actually doubtful.

You hit and cross a median and don’t hit the breaks, not buying it.

I think it’s worth noting the specific mention by the responding deputy that his seat belt probably saved his life.

Is it fitting or irony that possibly the most versatile word in the English language is also of unknown origin?

You think the hospital was going to administer him anything without knowing what was in his system beforehand? Not doing so seems like a whole lot of liability to take on for such a powerful estate. What if he OD’d on their watch?

We’re all sitting in the dugout. Thinking we should pitch. How you gonna throw a shutout when all you do is bitch.

You think the hospital is going to tell the police what’s in his system?

Doing so seems like a massive lawsuit on their hands.

If the police thought it might be a dui situation they could get a court order and the hospital would be compelled to give it to them.

Apparently, the police didn't believe it was.

or had no probable cause to ask for an order

Just ask Matt Gaetz how money and power changes policing.

Yeah, they could - but according to one media outlet it was said “it would be too hard to obtain a warrant” as mentioned above.

Gee, nothing suspicious about this crash - just a guy going over a median and a curb without hitting the breaks.

Had he hit someone then they wouldn’t have had a choice.

It hadn’t saved Tiger from DUI before. That’s kind of where all this premature suspicion on the guy comes from.

3 flat tires, sideswiped multiple cars and was called in by multiple citizens.  He was also still trying to limp the car home when they pulled him over.

And, actually it did save him from a DUI as he plead guilty to reckless driving when anyone not of his level of fame would currently have a DUI on their record.

Rich and famous folks get DUI's all the time, and sometimes regular joes get off.

Sure, and it’s possible that the severity of the crash caused the police not to pursue a blood test.  Or, even if they ran his license and saw that he had no prior DUI history.
