SD WR commits to Fresno, confirms love of manure odor.

Taxpayers in San Diego spend nearly $1 million each year sanitizing sidewalks from biohazards, including needles, personal hygiene waste and human feces. It's a problem that is not only gross, it's also a major public-health threat some say the city isn't doing enough to fix.

Really good prospect...athletic and has a rocket for an arm.  Can't believe neither Washington school pulled the trigger on him.

I wouldn't be surprised if one, or both of them offer before signing day to try and keep him in state. Not very often Major in-state universities don't offer the State player of the year.

Some good highlights of Wood in this video of the GEICO State Champions Bowl last month in Vegas. He is #3 playing for the team in home uniforms. His 32 yard TD throw with seconds left in the game is fun to watch.

His father played WR at Washington State and is a former Aloha Bowl MVP. I would not be surprised if WSU tried for him now.

My understanding is that the new WSU staff got the guy they wanted in John Mateer.

That is what happens when my time was too limited to stay on top of a lot of yesterday's recruiting news. Mateer committed just 2 or 3 hours before my post.

Not saying Wood doesn't have some talent but it seems odd to me that with Tedford back in the fold that Fresno State didn't (couldn't?) bring in a more highly regarded QB in this class.

This late in the game? No transfer worth his salt is going to come here to sit behind Haener for a year so its down to high school guys and QBs commit early in the process.  I think Wood is pretty close talent-wise to Jaylen Henderson and i was over the moon when Henderson committed - one of them will be a really good 4 year starter for us.

Commits in the past week:

3* DE Sione Noa (Sacramento, CA) - 6-3, 215.  We're his only offer of note, he's pretty good but they probably really want his brother, who is a big-time junior OL.

https://247sports.com/Player/Sione-Noa-46129970/

3* DT Jacob Holmes (Chandler, Arizona) 6-3, 285

Was committed to Tulane...WVU, AZ, ASU, CSU, Indiana, Oregon State, SDSU, SJSU, USU offers.

Two more commits not public yet, both studs.

Two new commits

https://247sports.com/player/carlton-johnson-46039770/

BYU, UNLV, Umass offers. 6-0 170lb JC CB with a sub-11 100m in high school

https://247sports.com/player/michael-whaley-46129868/

We're his only offer, IDK how.  11 picks in HS and he moves really well.  6-2 160lb safety.

There's one more commit, a 4* P5 transfer who's already on campus and in school, but until he or the school announces i won't steal jackson's thunder.

Oh we got another big surprise. Nearly fell over in my chair at work over that one....Wonder when it's public.

I literally went, "wait, WHAT?" when I read Jackson's post.

I think that Whaley is going to end up being the steal of the class. He'll need a RS year more than likely, but his length and speed should make him a multi-year starter.

I think Johnson is going to get instant playing time and lots of it.  Dunno how much philosophies shift but we gave 4 corners almost equal playing time last year and 2 of them are gone (Free and Bland)
