Horrible bartender and looks like a mess, but he sure is an interesting son of a bitch. I would think not being a horrible bartender is an important requirement for being, you know, a bartender.

I guess it depends on the situation. Give me an artisan cocktail that tastes like an angel is laying a glaze on my palette made by a mime and I'll find my conversation elsewhere so that person behind the bar can focus on making another kick-ass cocktail. But if I'm somewhere where I'm just having a pour of something neat, sure, give me the entertaining bartender over the good one... it's hard to f*ck up a 1.5 oz pour. I keep it easy with a bourbon or a gin and tonic, but his ability to gab makes him a valuable asset for the bar. The poor bastards that order a ramos gin fizz or a commonwealth deserve the garbage they get!

He has a "to do" list tattooed just above that and his own face on the other arm. I feel like he'll regret all of those choices....but I love them. I mean, for him. That definitely describes our bartender as well. She was super cool, but unfortunately didn't have a tattoo of the watch. She did say it was her favorite watch though and made her day pointing it out to her.

I once ordered a bourbon over ice at a bar in Sonora, and the bartender slowly turned to look at the bottles, looked back at me, looked at the bottles, and said ummmmmm... and I eventually just had to point to the Jim Beam. Homegirl didn't know what bourbon was. She looked good while annoying me, though. I wonder if that had anything to do with why she was a bartender. 1 Quote Planning is an exercise of power, and in a modern state much real power is suffused with boredom. I think they make those now. Like, you put some ceramic rocks in the freezer, and then pour your drink over them, and you get it cold without the water melting. I personally like the water evening it out a bit. Quote Planning is an exercise of power, and in a modern state much real power is suffused with boredom. That’s how you crack your teeth. I actually dislike the bourbon ball or full ice cube, it doesn’t melt fast enough. I go rocks for my normal maker’s selection, but if it’s something expensive I’ll just ask for ice cubes on the side and a glass of water. Normally I’ll just dilute it with a splash of water.

No exception for the first time SDSU (or any mwc team for that matter) makes the Final Four?? And there are other ways to celebrate. Got caught shorthanded after Sunday's win as netiher of our bottles of Champagne were chilled. Had to substitute an 8-year old corked bottle of sour from a now-defunct local microbrewery. So I got a bottle of Perrier-Jouët already chilled and ready. That, and running buck naked down the 15, said bottle in hand. Well, naked with socks, of course. I'm not a f*cking Cretan after all.
