For anybody in the market, Costco dropped their already-ridiculous price on the Glycine GL0083 from $299 to $239.

That's $239 for a Swiss diver with 300m WR from a company with over 100 years in the business and who introduced their Combat line 60 years ago. At that price, for this watch, I would have regretted not (yet again) purchasing one, after having given the last one to my dad, itself a replacement for the one I originally bought at Costco a year ago. As they say, third time's the charm.

Damnit... I might have to jump on it the next time I'm at Costco. Call it a celebration watch for getting a new job.

Yep, he got all three. He's in his 40's, makes really good money and is single, no kids, doesn't really travel and spends all his money on blingy things. I think he has like 8 or 9 Rolexes now.

I've found a new watch that I REALLY want. They're nearly impossible to find from what I've been able to tell... Seiko SDGC001.

Very nice! With a quick search, it looks like you'll have to order it from a Japanese retailer. Couldnt find anything English. Ie https://item.rakuten.co.jp/cameron/sdgc001/

Super proud of you friend!

Thanks for that. It's nice that I can do it all from home... though I likely have to go to HQ in Boston in May or June for some strategic planning. It's in an industry that's new for me as well... Pharma. But I've been put in charge of so many things already in just three days that it's crazy. There's unqualified people that I'm taking products from, and other processes that up until now had largely been free for alls, which is a big no-no in a highly regulated industry. Anyway, probably not the thread for all of that. Haha.

Nice find!  That’s a nice looking watch.  Congratulations on the new job.  Boston’s a great town.  Be sure to catch a Sox game and hit a couple of pubs. DM me for any recommendations

Edit: Pubs for the pub pizza

Had a patient yesterday comment on my BB58. When I asked him what he wears he says he has a few, notably an OP and a Sea Dweller. He suggested I look at the Moda FB group for a legit way to get a Rolex close to MSRP (without the wait-list). Anyone hear of it?

Only thing I could find on it was this reddit link talking about it. Seems a little sus, and if it's too good to be true, it usually is. But it was interesting how a random patient recommended it to me.

Bartender at the brewery we went to tonight was rocking the vintage gold Casio. Only a $70 watch, but still was the first time I've seen someone wearing one in the flesh. It was actually pretty awesome.

A hipster bartender at a local pub near me had the same exact watch and he took it off to reveal.....a tattoo of the same watch. He has a "to do" list tattooed just above that and his own face on the other arm. I feel like he'll regret all of those choices....but I love them. I mean, for him.

I have so many questions about that particular choice... :hmmm:

This particular dude raises more questions than he answers and I actually like that about him. Horrible bartender and looks like a mess, but he sure is an interesting son of a bitch.
