Twitter Permanently Suspends Trump’s Twitter

You’re not wrong. All these get rid off section 230 jerks getting their comeuppance at the hands of the tech giants is slightly amusing. Maybe try building something before jumping at the chance to regulate it next time, fellas.

Still, it’s disconcerting. Free speech was a value before it became a right, not the other way around.

If these social media and tech companies were not being threatened at every turn, they don't do this purge.  They are taking care of themselves and their shareholders, even if share value goes down in the short term.

Some of them may be taking a longer term hit if Merkel is any sort of warning. The world is watching more than just Trump and the government.

We’re all sitting in the dugout. Thinking we should pitch. How you gonna throw a shutout when all you do is bitch.

Yeah, I don't think they expected the EU leaders to speak out against it the way they have.

I think they are doing it to retain their best employees short term. Working at Facebook and Twitter isn’t as cool as it once was.

But I agree with you. Most large company’s are beholden to their shareholders. Don’t let the altruistic nonsense cloud judgement as the trickle-down theory BS is still BS. It’s all about making money and stock valuation unfortunately.

Disrupter companies disrupt especially when they become so powerful.

Should we force Twitter to make crimes easier for criminals or should we hold Twitter accountable for making crimes easier for criminals?

Market based speech or nah?

There's no good answers to my questions, btw.

The most powerful office in the world can only communicate on Twitter?

Twitter needs to adopt a new slogan of "Official Communication Method of the US Government".

That was his sole source of how he divided the country.  His tweets were mainly lies and whines.  His lies riled up his base and the whines convinced them he's being picked on.
