If SJSU or BSU has to sit out related to COVID with Nevada replace that team?

Looks like over in the Pac-12 Oregon is replacing Washington in the champ game.

Honestly I would say Nevada should just step up in that scenario. Now if somehow both BSU AND SJSU have COVID outbreaks then I would say cancel the game. Would be really weird to have #3/4 Nevada/SDSU play for MW championship. 

Going into this season there was some concern that the champ would need an * by their title BUT at the end of the day this is almost certainly the champ game we would have had even in a normal year

-One west and one mountain team

-SJSU would have won the West even if they lost their other two game (BSU/Fresno). 6-2 SJSU beats out a hypothetical 6-2 SDSU or Nevada because they beat them both. 

-BSU went 5-0. They would have only had to go 1-2 vs New Mexico, SJSU, and one other West crossover to make the MW champ game. Hell even if they went 0-3 vs those teams they would STILL make the MW champ game if Air Force dropped another game.

Makes sense in the pac because Oregon and Washington tied and didn’t get a chance to play each other. It’s clear who the top two are in the mwc. If we can’t play each other then it makes sense to just call it a draw.

No, Boise State gets the trophy and any associated revenue, but SJSU can have a parade but no rings as co-champs...it's right there in Section 11, Paragraph 4, Clause "Santa" in the Kustra Agreement!
