Andy predicts BS-You as MWCTC and SD as a playin game. SD isn’t even ranked so no respect there. Seems a little bogus or they know something we all don’t.

Probably guessing, correctly, that the MWC will be punished for lack of OOC opportunities.  Seems he is also one of the many that believe Boise is the most talented and deepest team in the MWC on paper.

No asterisk needed. Only need to see 2020 and that is enough said.

Many MWC teams will play 1 or 2 ranked teams in early season tournaments but those will be about it. After that it will be slim pickens to get a game to add to SOS and even then you need to win those without having any bad losses. With the new 2 game back to back schedule it will be even more difficult to win back to back road games. All that makes for the deck to be stacked against us for national recognition. This is a year to build and develop teams. With so many new coaches and teams that isn’t necessary a bad thing.

4 players in MWC top 25, but no Akot, who @halfmanhalfbronco thinks could be Boise’s best player. No Armus either - who looks like Boise’s best interior guy in a long time.

Is SB supposed to be good this year?  We are already playing Irvine.

On paper, yes (sounds familiar). Irvine and SB are essentially pegged as 1-2.

What makes this a possibility is SB has an open date December 5th, which also is/was scheduled as the second game of your home series vs CSU.

Decent effort by Murray.  The most glaring omission from my perspective is SDSU’s Nathan Mensah.  I think he’s a better Center than UNLV’s Diong as long as he’s healthy.

Starting today the speculation will start to disappear like the smoke from a California wild fire. Over the next few weeks we’ll see who has the real talent. So many changes in the conference in players and staffs. Forget about what this means on a national level because the media will pick their darlings and promote them.

How’s it looking for Mensah with his lung problem? Did they ever figure it out and determine how to treat it? He and Queta are the best big men in the MWC.

Yea this condensed offseason puts a TON of pressure on the 4 marquee OOC games we have. I mean on the bright side if we manage to go 4-0 or 3-1 in those games it would set us up nicely for 2-3 NCAAT bids BUT if we go 0-4 we are pretty much looked into 1 bid. There is simply not enough sample size and the NCAAT will just revert to history when picking at large teams. Just like the SEC wasn't hurt at all by no OOC in college football because based off of recent history they have been the best conference.

Now granted we also need to avoid any terrible loses in the OOC. Take a team like Fresno with it's 7 OOC games. They NEED to go at least 6-1 for their OOC to be a net positive for the MW.

They're not going to blow another 20+ point lead at home vs UCR, right?

Mensah had some sort of embolism but it is reportedly fully healed. We'll see about that tonight against UCLA.
