MWC needs to kick Hawaii to the curb................it's time

Hawaii needs to no longer be in the MWC.

1. The cost of travel to and from the  islands is enormous for every MWC team that has a game scheduled there.

2. Their idiotic Spectrum Sports TV arrangement means NOBODY who doesn't live in Hawaii can watch any game played there and some of the games played in the mainland as well.   Including this week's Nevada AT Hawaii game.

3. Hawaii is ONLY a member of the MWC for the sport of football.   It's better to have a member school in the MWC who is a FULL member - and NOT a school whose ONLY participation is football.

Possible replacements might include New Mexico State, U.T.E.P. or Texas State.

@DesVandal - is this you?

1. They're paying travel subs for you.  If you kick them out, you will actually have to pay for whoever new member you add every other year.

2. Hawaii doesn't take a TV payout of your money because of this.  All of their local games are streamed online for you to watch if you're a non-UH member.  Adding a new member will now require you to payout an even bigger share of your TV money.

3. You could have added Wichita State, or Gonzaga or even allowed BYU to stay....

4. You lose a Bowl Game

5. Hawaii is one of the better contributing OOC win contributing-members in the conference, even when they aren't that great, mainly because they can get almost anyone to play there home and home.

Hawaii vs BYU usually has the best TV ratings for BYU/MWC matchups.

The MWC can't kick anyone to the curb.  We're here, in 2020, watching San Jose boss the league around.   Never would I have thought that possible.  Never.

We're all in this together.  Even though Wyoming's fans suck rocks.  I'm all in.

Can't wait the day SJSU fans start posting: "Fresno/Boise/Air Force is dragging the conference down!" posts...

As long as Hawaii has an incompetent president and AD, I see them as continued champions of mediocrity. If you booted Hawaii, then boot SJSU and go with a 10 school conference. We could likely get very close to the same money for the conf, but get to divide it by 10.

When’s the last time Nevada won the Western Division? Never...talk about stuck in mediocre for football. Still crying that Hawaii ruined your perfect season back in 2010. Lol, or maybe it was was the beating we put on you last year.

Hawai'i is a MWC staple. Getting rid of them would be like the Big Ten kicking out Northwestern.

Try Michigan St. sounds better.

I can see asking Wyoming and CSU to go. But not Hawaii.

And this year.

And next year.

And the year after.

And the next decade.
