Biden's Cabinet

Recommended Posts

Had to look him up. From his Wiki:

Antony John Blinken (born April 16, 1962)[1][2][2] is an American government official who served as United States Deputy Secretary of State from 2015 to 2017 and Deputy National Security Advisor from 2013 to 2015 under President Barack Obama. He previously served as a senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, Democratic Staff Director of the United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations (2002–2008), and a member of the Obama–Biden presidential transition, active from November 2008 to January 2009, among other positions.

From 2009 to 2013, Blinken served as Deputy Assistant to the President and National Security Advisor to the Vice President. From 2002 to 2008 he served as the Democratic Staff Director for the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee. From 2001 to 2002 Blinken was a senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. During the Clinton Administration, Blinken served in the State Department and in senior positions on the National Security Council Staff.[3]

On November 7, 2014, President Obama announced that he would nominate Blinken for the Deputy Secretary post, replacing the retiring William Joseph Burns.[4] On December 16, 2014 Blinken was confirmed as Deputy Secretary of State by the Senate by a vote of 55 to 38.[5] He is now a Global Affairs Analyst for CNN.[6] Blinken is reported to be President-elect Joe Biden's choice for Secretary of State.[7]

People, not a fan.

He looks like a pretty solid choice.

She'll probably attack him as pro-refugee too. "He's an evil globalist working to end American sovereignty, bring crime to our cities, and destroy Christianity"

Alejandro Mayorkas - DHS

Avril Haines - DNI

John Kerry - Special Presidential Envoy on Climate

He's also re-elevating the UN Ambassador position to Cabinet Status, which was removed when Trump had initially tried to nominate Heather Nauert for the role.

John Kerry as Biden's Climate Czar?

This is just an awful pick if it actually happens.  A polarizing individual much like Al Gore.  In my opinion the worst thing to ever happen to advancing the science of and the need to address climate change was Al Gore.  By all means Joe, choose someone that will again try to scold us and try to scare us into action.  When will the Democratic leadership learn that you advance climate change science into action by selling the economic benefits of renewable fuels and technologies.  If you preach, scold and fear monger you will be met with resistance.  So frustrating the selection of John Kerry to this position would be.  We need a Climate Czar that is young, energetic and optimistic.  Not a Boomer that half the country loathes going back as far as the Vietnam war!

When it comes to climate change I am so sick and tired of being stuck in between the head in the sand science deniers on the right and the unimaginative fear mongers on the left.  There are real solutions and ideas that can be taken that would not only reduce carbon emissions but also grow jobs and the economy.
