hard to fire the owner.  Not impossible, since the Murdochs voluntarily agreed to limit their voting rights to 44%.  But hard.

It gives me a headache just trying to think down to your level

All the power is slowly but surely slipping away from the "right"...that's why they are constantly finding stupid new hot button social issues to stoke the dying fires. They will eventually lose on this issue too, just like they lost on women and gays in the military, DOMA, marijuana, etc..

Does anyone still care about small government and fiscal responsibility?

They mocked the concept for years.

Now the GOP far-right has decided it is a good idea and want their own "safe space"???

Like we have always known, these types are snowflakes.  Hence why they are introducing topics and bills to protect their feel feels.

Remember when they tried to claim that it was only about "protecting kids".  Turns out that it really was all about dehumanizing and trying to remove trans people of all ages from existence.  Almost like everyone called that from the start.

Hey overturning Roe v Wade was state's rights on abortion.  Until it wasn't, and now they are suggesting fed laws and trying to outlaw birth controls.

The road to "America First" is laced with authoritarianism and fashy (am I using it right, halfman?) ideology.

And yet they worship a man who wakes up every day, coifs an intricate hairdo, slathers on a ton of makeup, straps on a girdle and slips into a pair of high heels (his elevator shoes).  Puzzling.

It would seem Tennessee Governor, Bill Lee, is trying undo his past.

He is pushing anti-trans Laws and anti Drag Laws. Yet, he has had his moment in drag.

It seems those pushing the hardest to outlaw something, have something to hide that involved it.

Does Tennessee's ban on drag performances in public places inhibit a Theaters Right to stage a performance of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night ?  In that play, a woman impersonates a man for economic and social advantage, only to fall in love with a man. In his era there were very few female actors, so a man had to cross dress as a woman, who cross dressed as a man, who fell in love with a man who thought he/she was a dude.

How about Some Like it Hot, The Bird Cage, or Mrs Doubtfire ? Will Theaters be allowed to stage those productions ?

I also see a problem with Karens and Kevins calling the Cops because a cross dresser is walking down the street. What about women who aren't very feminine ? Who cut their hair short, don't wear makeup, and dress in mens shirts and pants. Are they liable to arrest for public drag performances ?

This is an absolutely stooopid Law.

It's an odd level of infatuation they have on this topic.  Not crime, economy, diplomacy, infrastructure,  homelessness or any other platform they all stumped on mere months ago.  No, it is all about RuPaul.

A Republican in the Texas Legislature has introduced a new bill providing property tax breaks to qualifying couples/families. He represents a rural district east of Dallas.

As written the bill would provide:

  • a 10% property tax credit to a "Qualifying married couple" which in the bill is defined as a "man and a woman who are legally married to each other, neither of whom have ever been divorced".

Instead of the 10% credit

  • a 40% property tax credit to a "Qualifying married couple" who have 4 children (either natural birth or legally adopted)
  • a 50% property tax credit to a "Qualifying married couple" who have 5 children
  • a 60% property tax credit to a "Qualifying married couple" who have 6 children
  • a 70% property tax credit to a "Qualifying married couple" who have 7 children
  • a 80% property tax credit to a "Qualifying married couple" who have 8 children
  • a 90% property tax credit to a "Qualifying married couple" who have 9 children
  • a 100% property tax credit to a "Qualifying married couple" who have 10 or more children

Honestly would have thought this would be a LDS led Utah policy - Make the breeding program even more profitable for the church
