It’s time for Trump to concede

Recommended Posts

He lost. He’s not going to get that many ballots overturned in multiple states.  His constant attacks on the process are going to cause serious harm long term as his true believers are going to believe the election was stolen, somehow, and who knows how they’ll react.  The lawsuits he filed need to get dealt with quickly so we can move of. Trump lost.  It’s over. Unless elections don’t matter anymore then I guess Trump is a de facto dictator.

I mean, they just filed another lawsuit in Michigan.

Hannity's show tonight is all about "election integrity" and casting aspersions on everyone that worked the polling places and processed ballots. The GOP is afraid to say that Biden won, because it'll deflate Trumpers in Georgia, who they need to keep fired up to try and keep the Senate with those two special elections.

He needed to be an actual President and concede on Saturday afternoon or Sunday. But he's incapable of ever admitting that he lost at anything... the man cheats at golf for the love of God. Then you have the crazy Trumpists like we have here — and I won't name names — who have bought into this whole election fraud nonsense. Oh, and if you think these guys are bad... don't look at the other sports forum I frequent.

The GOP needs to suck it up and all say that Trump lost, and work on moving forward into the Biden Administration. If it means they might lose the Trump base in Georgia, then so be it, because keeping this playing out is damaging the phuck out of our elections, and the members of the GOP who are enabling it need to be the next to go.

@battle.borne sent me a direct message saying Trump would still be President 4 years from now. I bet him $100 that Trump wouldn't, but he didn't take the bet.  Figures.

Trump is out of office on January 20th at 12 pm no matter how big a fit he throws.

If he refuses to leave I hope they live stream the secret service escorting him from the property.

I support Trump but It is very clear he lost the election. I know you didn’t, but please don’t put me into the category of the election deniers lol.

I really hope The GOP leadership starts putting pressure on him to concede. Privately first, then publicly if needed.

They would at the very least show him being walked out the gates and dumped on the sidewalk on every channel. In any case, the office leaves the man, not the man leaves the office. Biden can do the job from his Delaware basement.

I hope they do as well.  But they seem afraid to upset him still.  The claims of the election being stolen are dangerous.  This isn’t like 2000 where you had 537 votes decide the fate of a state and a recount will matter.

What matters is Trump will lose control of the military at that time.  He can try to issue orders but they won’t be followed.

I agree with this but he's gonna do a lot of damage to the country and especially the GOP before then unless he does something completely out of character for him.

Shit, they could sell that on PPV and make a killing for COVID relief.

Reminds me of an old episode of the original MacGyver series where he was sent down to South America to topple a psychotic dictator after the military asked for help. Check that, with Trump involved it's more like MacGruber.

Correct.

Nuclear fb with Biden is activated the moment he says "I Do". The Levers of Power shift to him in his Deleware Basement.

Little Donnie is then trespassing on Federal Property. I have no doubt he trashes the place on his way out of the door.

I’m going to send an email to my representative Congressman Fulcher saying they need to start putting pressure on Trump to concede and wrap up his administration. Work with Biden to transition.

Not just the military. Secret Service, FBI, US Marshall’s etc...there are no shortage of law enforcement officials he loses authority over.

It might not be all bad for all the people feeling like a Beeker gif right now to see once and for all the laws, the courts, and the bureaucracy are much too ingrained to allow their dictator nightmares all these years.

You build a system of levees and dams to prevent catastrophic flood. But each time that system holds off a flood event, it gets a little bit weaker.

Even when if the wannabe dictator tries and fails, the 33 percent or so of the electorate who believes that the election was stolen from him holding one of the two major parties hostage to go along with the whims of that wannabe even when they know he is wrong... it doesn't make those institutions stronger.

I think the odds still favor most of the GOP starting to come out and tell him publically that it's over by the end of the week. But these days, I ain't gonna assume that something bonkers isn't gonna happen.
